I think I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that if we go down its not quite the end of the world..worse things happen..just look at recent disasters...The only difference is we could all see this disaster coming

And Lambert might have dealt with it in the January window. Instead he brought Grant Shite.

Difficult to tell amongst all the general booing going on as to whether any of it was directed at Holt.

More likely booing at the general concept of Villa bringing on an on loan Championship striker than at the player himself.

He added: “Criticism is never nice, but I had it as a player and I’ve had it as a manager at big clubs. It’s something you take on your shoulders.

“I’m the manager of it, so I’ll take it. There’s nothing wrong there whatsoever, as long as it protects the lads, then fine. But those lads will need the supporters. Everybody at the football club will need the supporters next Saturday.

"The good thing, if there’s any good things, is that it’s still in your own hands. If it wasn’t in your own hands.... I know Hull have scored a major goal. It’s still in your own hands. Next week’s game is a cup final, that’s basically it. That’s it in a nutshell."

Have you Paul? Have you really?

Holt isn't very popular in Swansea as be scored against them a lot in the past so this may have contributed to any booing coming from Villa fans.

If I'd have know you were planning to avoid the game I'd have held back on the texting.

Nothing I try seems to bring us luck any more. I'm hoping the new trackie top I bought today does the trick next week. Otherwise it's off to Iceland for Fish pies for the last 2 games.

They need to be Admiral pies. Plain fish is not enough.

Maybe we could produce a deconstructed orange dot like they do in Masterchef.
