I must be thinking of Grot Bags off the Rod Hull and Emu show.

Also still alive.  Are you sure you're not thinking of Hatty Jacques or Mama Cass?

Grotbags knows nothing about the cut-throat world of international sports club ownership though, the silly old hag.

I expect she'll be the next Chief Executive then.

Maybe Queen Victoria? She was no stranger to a meat pie but I think she's dead now.

There's a Karren Brady joke in there screaming to be let out.  But I'm too much of a gentleman.

We need a manager in place by the end of May at the very latest to get plans in place for next season for sure.

If not the above, I'd hope that any potential buyers of the club have earmarked and notified their preferred managers so he has the opportunity to prepare.  To be honest, even if that hasn't happened there is so little to salvage from the wreckage of this season that any knowledge/possible signings he brings will be a plus.

I fully expect Randy to still be in charge come kick off in August, and what's more i wouldn't be surprised to see Eric still in the temporary mangers chair

It's an utter farce as always

We've had since January (at least!) to prepare for life in the Championship, a good 4 month head start on the other two relegated clubs and look where we are right now

It's only going to happen when that whispers bloke on Twitter tells us.

 :D

Adil Ray just tweeted it's happening this week with Comolli coming in. If you can't trust a sit com star, who can you trust.
they all know him

could it be that there is no one interested?? and that randy's cunning plan is to just bleed the club dry??

And continue losing circa 25million a year in the process? No, I don't think that's his plan.

I remember either hearing or reading a comment by Mervyn King that where he said that our "losses" included the devaluation of players and implied that we weren't actually losing money.

there is difference between money in and money out to profit and loss accounting.

Reading Everton fans opinions on Keith Wyness is a sobering experience.

Do I think Steve Hollis is a blatant liar? No.

Me neither and furthermore I believe he'll get the right deal for our great club

I expect him to do the right deal for Randy Lerner, that's all his remit will be. Let's just hope it leads to an upturn in our fortunes.

Up date from the Meaning Evil...things appear to be progressing , albeit at a snails pace !. Can´t say I´m overly excited by the Di Matteo rumour, in addition, the name of Keith Wyness ( see...  http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=14293.0 )  is now cropping up with some regularity.2 weeks more, max, I say...Godzvilla!

" The Chinese group who are hoping to buy Aston Villa could soon undergo the Owners’ and Directors Test, the Birmingham Mail understands.

Villa’s potential new owners are closing in on a takeover as Randy Lerner looks to offload the club following relegation to the Championship.

Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness is involved with the group and will hold a senior role at the club if a deal can be struck.

Talks are said to be at an advanced stage and the aim is to have an agreement in place by the end of the month.

In order for it to go through, the consortium must pass the test which was formerly set up to determine whether a person was ‘fit-and-proper’.".
