Go back 12 months and I didn't expect us to be a team of world beaters now. But I never imagined we would be in the mess we are at present. Mess is putting it mildly as well. Shambles is probably more apt.

The Larry Ellison / Oracle rumours have started up again. I'm not getting my hopes up. Why would one of the worlds richest men who could afford any football club, buy one in the Championship?

To say that sounds too good to be true would be putting it mildly! I would settle for selling the club to almost anyone right now but anyone close to that calibre would be a humungous bonus clearly.

He has a reputation for being a bit of a nutter but perhaps that is just what we need.

If Lerner really is looking to sell at a knock down price it could be the ideal time to buy the club.

That said, it is probably all bollocks.

Can't see it. Larry certainly likes sports but I have never heard of him having any interest in football.
