I would prefer to hear  from the club owner not the team manager regarding this development if in fact it is correct. Sherwood is going to look pretty stupid if it goes through in the next few weeks!
Why? Just saying it as it is - at the moment. He needs to focus on the football, and not having this interfering whatever plans Villa has. Que sera sera

Quite right. His job is to manage the players not to comment on the possible sale(or not) of the club. That is the remit of the club owner.

With Lambert gone and a reasonable guy in his place I'm not too bothered.
I get the impression that the stench of death has gone.

I'm really looking forward to the season starting.

That's my take on it too.

Tim Sherwood coming up on @SkySportsNewsHQ From Portugal. Randy stays on at Villa as takeover fails...

The evidence was there: pressure washing North Stand.

Shabby chic didn't cut it with the Chinese.
Sorry if it's been mentioned before but the North Stand is being cleaned up because of the Rugby World Cup IMO

Smethwick expect to be sold by end of month according to Peace.

The 'big news' that we were waiting for turned out to be that they are in an exclusivity period, like we're reported to be. The difference is that they have officially announced it.

So why haven't we?
Because we're not media whores who do their business in public?

or maybe because you don't announce something that isn't happening, just a thought

You wise old bastard

As long as we keep spending good money and brining in good quality players who can improve the first XI then I am happy. I want us to act like a top flt club aga, even if we cannot compete for the top six at least we can play decent football and give it ago.

Sinclair, Richards, Gueye and now his Amavi kid looking likely, while keeping hold of Delph, puts us in a stronger position with this manager in charge to be nowhere near 12 goals scored and 20 odd points in mid-February.

Does the non-disclosure agreement expire after the period of exclusivity has ended or talks have failed?

Do we get to know who it was in a 'look what you could have won' kind of way?

What makes you say the Amavi deal is looking likely? I've not seen or heard anything for a while so it seemed like we weren't his first choice.

Randy pulled out originally before eventually buying us so you never know what might happen over the next few weeks.
