Everyone involved in this deal will be NDAed up to the eyeballs. I've noticed that even in my line of work in recent years - the increasing unwillingness of anyone to talk about anything of even slight financial value without NDAs in place.

Yep, we get the same, especially if there are Americans involved.  I don't know if it's that they want to have the PR event of a release day or if it's to protect the negotiations but every tender we work on with the US has NDA clauses all through it.

I don't think it was made up, but the exclusivity thing was never more than an unsubstantiated rumour. I believe there was/ is interest but don't think come the start of the season we will have been sold. There would be more knowledge about it if we were.
