So we're basically in limbo now with regards to new signings, great!!

Maybe, but you either want the club sold or you don't. Besides, it might not take that long.

SSN: 4-6 weeks exclusivity for unknown party but unlikely to be Paul Smith...either the American or Chinese consortiums are most likely apparently.

Could one of our savvy Financial colleagues, please explain the word ´exclusivity´in this context.
I theng yow......Godzvilla!

Exclusivity.

Most purchasers insist that you grant them a period of exclusivity before starting their due diligence investigations into your company. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, they want breathing space to complete the acquisition without worrying about competing bidders. Secondly, due diligence is an expensive exercise, regularly costing purchasers more than £250,000 in fees. This represents a significant risk for the purchaser, so in return it expects a commitment from the seller not to negotiate an alternative deal with rival acquirers.

Let's hope the bidders are from the west.
The Chinese would be a scary proposition.

Well that's quite the prejudice post. I don't care if they're British, Chinese or American as long as they're the right people.

Because???
Not being argumentative but I'm interested why an owner would be scary based on their nationality.
For every Carson Yeung, there is a Hicks & Gillett (or closer to my home, a Ken Richardson; google him & Doncaster Rovers)

Why?

If they're half competent they'll be better than the incompetence we've seen for most of the last 4 years.

The only positive to Randy not finding a buyer this time around is that Fox seems switched on, has quickly identified a raft of areas where we're lacking competency and above all sacked Lambert when no-one believed that Randy could be persuaded to pull the trigger,

For all his many faults , Lerner has looked after the club well, writing off millions in loans and from a CSR standpoint he's been pretty faultless.

Be careful what you wish for.

That still doesn't explain why you distrust thr Chinese more than anyone else. Did Chinese people own Rangers or Leeds?
