Dante's had a good few years at Bayern Munich and was part of that horrible Brazil defence when they lost 7-1 to Germany.

Defour we were linked with forever, Witsel was signed by Zenit for a £30m or so and has just won the league there, Fellaini is still knocking around somewhere. So they basically had the first-choice Belgium midfield from a couple of years ago. Onyewu went to Newcastle then Milan and has just been released by Charlton.

So a fair few of them went on to better and brighter things.

Was talking to a Hereford fan last night and what has happened to them must be heartbreaking if you support them. He has his own business and said over the years he has done many jobs for them where he charged them for his materials but did not charge anything for labour. Randy might not be the greatest thing to ever happen to villa but if/when he does sell I pray it isn't to a bunch of chances/crooks..There are too many bastards out there just waiting for the chance to rip people off.

The Villa boss hinted there would be wholesale changes in the aftermath of the 4-0 defeat to the Gunners, claiming the current squad possesses a "losing habit" that needs to change if the club is to avoid another relegation scrap next year.

"We can spend if I can justify it to the owners," the 46-year-old said. "We can all be mates, all jolly patting each other on the back but I don't think we have a problem with the desire of the group.
