TV you could be close to the mother lode of punnery. The thought of our beloved owner being beamed down by Scottie made me laugh and that is a rare occurrence these days.

laughter is the only medicine we have left Mr Green

Paul Allen was very injury prone after his FA Cup Final appearance I seem to recall.

So, we have an Azerbaijani sheikh and an American multi billionaire in the frame. I know which one Randy Lerner will choose.

Having just over one billion with a wife skip out on you is one thing.. but $17bil and still 100 million shares in Microsoft is a whole mother ball game.

He's got some very well structured and successful sports franchises in the states. Bring em on, please god.

"Sir Lord Alex Ferguson's latest letter, which I have donated to the Smithsonian Institution, proved to be a significant factor in cementing a deal that will welcome a new, exciting and prosperous era to this football club. It is an honour and a privilege to be able to say 'Xoş gəlmişsiniz!' to the new owners of Aston Villa."

Didn't the sounders win the league or at least their group, however they have it structured over there?

Edit - Wikipedia to the rescue, yes they topped the table but lost to LA Galaxy in the Semi-Final of the playoffs.  So yeah, well run side in the 'soccer'.

Edit 2 - He also owns the seahawks who are in the superbowl in a few weeks.

Clearly knows how to setup a good sports franchise, this would be a great takeover, so Azerbaijan minister for emergencies it is then.

AND the Portland Trailblazers who have managed to put together and amazing fan base and great on-court product. He knows what he's doing. The Sounders are one of the only teams in the league willing to spend big (barring LA and NY) and the Seahawks recent run of success speaks for itself.
