Apparently this Micky Arison geezer owns two 200ft yachts. Doug won't like that he's only got one!

The latest subject of speculation is Alisher Usmanov. The plot gets thicker and thicker.

From the first moment I read of our new CEO, I wondered how long it would take for that one to surface.

Does it matter? it's on speculation thread, and some on there are merely having fun speculating.

Good luck to them, I have my fun sneering and looking down at them. Each to their own.

That's actually quite a logical link and therefore 100% gospel.  Maybe not, but you do get the impression that he is on a different wavelength to the rest of the Gooner board by wanting to spend money and seemingly wanting a higher profile.  The quandry would be how he could leverage himself out of Arsenal as he could not own parts of both clubs.

I sort of like both.

Sadly the most likely scenario (as with all conspiracy theories) is that things are exactly as they seem.
Ie: We've appointed a CEO, things look slightly rosier but there's no buyer as yet.
Still, it's nice to speculate and dream.

Usmanov only really has an investment with no power at Arsenal as Kroenke owns more shares and the board back him and don't like Usmanov. If he wants to actually control a club he may want to sell his Arsenal shares but unless Kroenke wants to buy them who else is going to pay a fortune to be in exactly the same position Usanov is now.

Randy?  Gets the kudos and free tickets when he can be arsed without the abuse/weight of expectation from the fans.

Would it be the first ownership swap deal?

Who exactly is a 'football man' in these kind of positions. He (hopefully) is coming in to maximise incoming finance for the club and to make sure that behind the scenes everything is running smoothly. An excellent, proven, addition to the team.

The sort of man who can look at a teamsheet and say "He's cup-tied."

And the sort of man who would never, for example utter the word 'footy' in a sentence.
