I told him that my grandma met somebody new on a Nile cruise, he called her a slag!
I nearly walked out. Probably should have chinned him.

I just saw there had been posts on this thread, so click the last page of it and saw this post, and sat wondering how we'd manage to meander so much from the takeover.

Speaking of crocodile tears, I had a funny conversation with a punter I caught out last week.

"You are going to accuse me of all sorts now, but, sniff, it was a genuine, honest, mistake. I completely forgot (full on breakdown was how it sounded)".

It may have carried more gravitas had that not been complete bollocks, or that she cries like this on every call when asked a difficult question, or, my favourite, that the reason she is often crying is because she has "just lost my Dad".

She has just lost her Dad, when crying and notifying a new claim, 9 times in 5 years now!

I was interviewing a WWII veteran the other day and I got something in my eye. I told him I had something in my eye, but I realised he thought his story had moved me to tears. So I actually had to pretend to be moved to tears.

It was a shameful performance, God help me.
