If he stayed - ie took us off the market - I imagine he'd remain as uninterested as he has been for the last two or three years.

Bad.

If he is still wants shot of us, as in he is still uninterested, why would he take us off the market? It makes no sense.

Will he turn up in Texas to see the boys, given the team is virtually in his backyard ?

Whether he does or doesn't, maybe that will give us a inkling into his level of interest.

Virtually in his back back yard?  Assuming Lerner lives in New England somewhere which I'm pretty sure is the case he's about 1400 miles away from Houston. That's about the same as Birmingham to Rome.

The operative word was 'virtually' ...............He is closer to the team than when they are in Birmingham

Much like you see in a Hollywood movie when the protagonist makes a last minute dash to catch someone at the airport, skids to a halt outside, leaves us car, and then at the first approaching person who shouts "hey buddy, you can't park your car there!" he tosses them the keys and shouts "it's yours"
I wonder if Randy will just get so fed up one day during one of his visits that on his way to the airport to fly home, having seen us trounced at home to a conference side in the FA Cup, he just chucks the keys to Villa Park out his limo window and shouts "take it, it's yours" to the first poor sod whose bonce gets clobbered by the keys to the kingdom.

He'll also toss Mo Salifou out the car as an unwanted gift to some random passer by.

Maybe the performance o the USA in the World Cup has rekindled his interest.  That, and no fucker wants to buy us.

Still a flight though, so it's not likely to make much difference, that was the point I was trying to make, I'm sorry if it sounded like I was taking the piss, that wasn't intended at all, I was just trying to highlight that it's still a meaningful trip so if he wasn't bothering for league games I don't see why he would now either.

I don't believe a word of he's taken us off the market, it would make no sense.

The laws of probability would dictate that Randy's car would be in the VIP parking so that if he did toss the keys to his kingdom like a bride's bouquet over his shoulder the odds are that they would be caught by another party returning to a flash limo. The gods of football in acknowledgement of our fickleness would decree that the keys would be caught by Doug Ellis.

Oh go on then, I'll say it...

...Even Doug was better than Randy.

Me neither. The only way he might do that is if he did it as an act of good faith while an interested party undertook due diligence but it seems highly unlikely that we are anywhere near that stage.

Samuel does not know that there are no buyers, I think if Lerner did take us off the market he would probably make an inappropriate statement.

He's been very clear in his statements and actions since 2010.

If he can sell he will.

The wait is bloody painful.
