Well I guess the books are nicely balanced and we are still a PL club so it's set up for new ownership.
Need 6 or 7 quality new players though which won't be cheap in fees and wages . £100m ??

In McLeish style he could be fired as early as tomorrow. By Tuesday for sure. If it goes much beyond that be very afraid.

Hopefully it's nothing to do with Randy. If he sacks him it would indicate he's not selling.

I honestly don't think the two items are related. When McLeish was fired it was made clear it was due to results not being good enough. This in my opinion will be the same.

Sure, but if he's selling the club it makes no sense. The new owners might want to give him a chance, God forbid.

Well they both finished with the same points so it makes sense. Trouble for Lambert is he had two years to sort it out not just one.

You would think that a new owner would want their own man, and especially given the performance of the incumbent. It's not as if it is the Glazers coming in for us and the manager being Alex Ferguson. Any buyer will look at the club and realise pretty sharpish that a big piece of the playing issues is with the manager irrespective of the circumstances he has had to contend with.

I think this might drag on awhile.  Its a catch-22 for me, on the one hand we do need quite big investment which at the moment it seems that Learner can't or won't provide.  Also if you believe than things are only going to get worse if Lambert stays as manager then a new owner is more likely to make that change.  On the other Randy has run the club sensibly, is supportive of the manager and you don't know who you are going to get.  While I have doubts over the manager, I am more willing to give Learner a chance.

Bit weird villa fans are following Lambert's teenage daughter. Poor girl suffered abuse apparently. Very poor form indeed

Anyone else in the "Lambert needs to go" camp find themselves not actually that bothered if he does or not because they're too focused on the takeover?

No, I want him gone yesterday. Ultimately no better than Big Eck
