The inspirational, motivational Sir Graham Taylor is being guarded but knows I think.

It was interesting, albeit in hindsight, that when he was asked about coming back last week he said there'd have to be a change in ownership first.

Well that is a interesting spin on his comments.

That wasn't the way I heard it on WM on the way back from the Hull game. He was asked directly that IF there was a change in ownership would he come back and he responded with some guarded provisional conditions for his return.

I'm still skeptical, but two people close to the club have potentially suggested we've been sold today. Hopefully they know.

Can you remember his words? This is very interesting.

 3 hours 31 mins in

Still inconclusive I would say, not quite him saying the club is definitely sold

Interestingly there is a 3 hour Aston Villa show every week on a Spanish network channel over here. They show the full game and then all the AVTV interview stuff in HD. It started in September and is still running.

No other club has this. So either Villa is bigger in the Spanish speaking community than I thought or the club cut a deal with a channel here.

I'm sure that first of all he was asked if he would go back and he said he wouldn't under the current ownership.

Do they pronounce it "Aston Veeya"?

I remember reading Villa did deals with some stations, and also with airlines to show a weekly segment on their in-flight telly things.

Christ. Imagine that. On a 15 hour transatlantic flight and you flick over to us getting our arse handed to us 4-1 at home to Stoke.

I think I'd start flicking around for Homes Under The Hammer repeats toute de suite.

I think that's on Eurosport because we get that show in Oz too.  No one else seems to have one.

It was also on Malaysian Airlines in flight entertainment package when I flew back last year for a trip.

If the customers of Malaysian Airlines didn't have enough to worry about!

Interesting! Looks like the club is trying at least.

Indeed.

Joking apart it is another example of how they can get some things so utterly spot on off the pitch whilst on it all goes to shot.

Don't shoot the messenger but the ever reliable "Aston Villa 1874" on Facebook just put up the following:

Breaking news - American TV and radio are led to believe aston villa football club has been sold to Mr Larry Elinson UTV

I put this because someone pointed out that maybe something would be leaked in America before we found out over here.
