No I didn't believe them, but I was lambasted for questioning the sale and the dates in question....see the Brian Little speaks thread.
No I don't believe in the tooth fairy, do you?
Oh and do you believe in half the BS on here?

Then why are you continuing to ask people questions if it's only bullshit? We're all fans, we were speculating on what was going to happen and when it was going to happen. Stop getting your knickers in a twist and calm down.

Well you obviously do, given you're getting the hump about stuff you were "told" by people on here, like this is some sort of truth-dispensing telephone service where you call up for facts.

What next for Tony Xia and his Aston Villa takeover bid?

Gregg Evans looks at the situation surrounding the club's owner-in-waiting

16:11, 31 May 2016
Updated 16:14, 31 May 2016
By Gregg Evans

Tony Xia is expected to arrive in England this week as he waits for his takeover bid to be approved.

The Chinese businessman needs to meet with Premier League and Football League officials for a face-to-face interview before his plans for Aston Villa are given the go-ahead.

Xia’s team of board members must also pass the Owners and Directors’ Test before an official changing of hands is confirmed.

Initial thoughts were that the takeover could be completed in the coming days but there’s a chance it could still roll into next week.

Xia had submitted all the paperwork for approval before the Bank Holiday weekend and was in Beijing waiting to be contacted.

The joint investigation into the exact make-up of his conglomerate, Recon Group, is taking longer than expected as thorough checks are made. Officially Villa remain a Premier League club until June 8 so representatives from both leagues are working together.

Xia wants a quick conclusion so he can start putting his own mark on the club as Villa seek an immediate return to the top-flight.

Roberto Di Matteo is the man expected to fill the vacant managerial post but departing chairman Steve Hollis is yet to make an announcement.

The Italian has been selected as the preferred choice after a careful and considered process which saw talks take place with other candidates including David Moyes and new Derby County boss Nigel Pearson.

Villa targeted managers who were out of work to avoid paying compensation fees as improving the playing squad is thought to be more important.

Actually, I only got the hump, when I pretty much got told that I was spouting utter rubbish by the people on here.
Can't be having a differing opinion now can I?

10th of May, I was told quite bluntly, that the club would be sold and that a new manager would be in place before the 31st May, regardless of sell off, as this was some sort of contingency plan.
Can someone tell me, now that it's May 31st,
Who the manager is going to be???
What the contingency plan was/is?????
Which year the May 31st was supposed to be????

Also, can someone tell me when the club has to notify the FA/League of its retained players list?

Ask your contact?

Maybe, club is sold therefore contingency plans not applicable!

Just waiting for rubber stamp.

What bollocks. And you wonder why Villa fans don't want anything to do with the Birmingham Mail, Gregg.

Actually Clampy you said; "You obviously missed the point that there is a cut off point where a manager will be appointed, probably by the end of May, if the sale hasn't gone through by then?"
i think the Tooth fairy is more likely to be in the know.

But the sale has been agreed between the buyer and the seller, the club announced it on the website and it's waiting to be ratified. Steve Hollis is hardly going to turn round to the new owner and say 'Sorry, we can't wait for the FA, we're appointing a manager ourselves'. You're being ridiculous.

If it makes you feel better Eddie.....

Hollis had earmarked Pearson for the job when we weren't being sold. All bets were off when the sale was in the works. If there was no obvious movement on the sale by the end of May we were appointing Pearson regardless as there is much to do. As the sale should be imminently given the green light, and he isn't the choice of the new owners, that is off and he has gone to Derby.

Steady on cheltenham, that sounds suspiciously close the outlandish theories of the 3 fuckwit fantasists that led eddie boy up the garden path by his plonker.

Couldn't possibly be true.

That is truly a rotten comment. I am quite sceptical about the good Doctor but that really has to be nonsense.
