If the City of Birmingham wants Chinese investment to springboard off the back of Aston Villa, the first thing they want to do is clean up all the piles if crap and fly dumping in Aston.

I walked miles and miles round London council estates last week and saw nothing even remotely as filthy as Aston.

Although I would be delighted( and relieved ) to see us sold to a party that has  the Villa at heart and  sufficient financial clout to give us lift off , I share the some doubts raised by other posters on here, about the veracity of this particular story ( re Chinese Consortium) , doubts based  purely on the source.    It appears to be a fact that the Chinese are sincerely interested in us, but when I see ´Mirror,´Brum Mail´& ´Star´ quoted as the authority in question then I think we all have a right to be a tad dubious about them being imminent new owner´s.   The ´Meaning Evil´ , for example, is the bastard child of the ´Mirror´  , and no one takes the ´Star´seriously ( unless they happen to be a member of the EDL ) ......Godzvilla!

i want us to be sold asap to the best possible buyer but 3 weeks ago it was that ellison bloke, then it was a consortium of birmingham business men and now its a chinese consortitum all of whom have approached their prefered managers who are waiting in the wings

as much as i. want to believe it i will when they sign on the dotted line

Well keep it under your hats chaps as we don't want them put off but investing in a football club in the hope of making money is not the best idea in the world...Like I said don't tell anyone we don't want it getting out.

The problem with a Chinese takeover is we'll be wanting another one shortly afterwards.

I don't think anybody, on here at least, takes the Mirror, Mail or Star seriously. What we do know is there are talks going on, as the club have said so and you're not allowed to lie about that shit in business.

For all the talk you just know it's going to be a British consortium involving the dream ticket of Bryan Richardson, Ray Ransom and S'rAlan with just about enough money to get the keys to the club but not much else.

I can't let that pass without offering a chapeau. Well done, sir.

To be fair, it's also been widely reported that there are 3 interested parties, so it all adds up.

No I don't believe it either. If those 3 organisations have got it right, it's on the stopped clock principle.

I think it means guess enough times and eventually you will get it right - like a stopped club clock being right twice a day.
