How much they have while important is not as vital as how they run it.  The porno lot are not that wealthy but run a club very very well.

Or the people at Southampton. And Swansea are just a bunch of fans. And Everton finished above us every year with Bill Kenwright in charge - and that when Lerner was spending anyway.

Let's set ourselves up as a well-run club before we start dreaming of billlionairing our way into the Champions League.

Why can't the club come out with a statement saying that they are in advanced negotiations with a bidder and  when and if the negotiations are successful a further statement will be made.
No commercially sensitive information has to be given out, just the bald outlines of what is going on.

Is it possible that Merv & Bernstein are part of a consortium and were on the board performing a review before a bid/takeover ?

Nigel Kennedy. He spends a lot of his time in Poland and so could count as the European part of the consortium

This European consortium worries me.  It makes me think they have scrambled enough to buy it but how long will it last.  Hopefully it has enough cash and sense to get us back.  That cortese chap that was at Southampton would be a decent front.

Sky sports have just said we might make an announcement in the next 48 hours. Been 8 bids for the club and the preferred bidder is a European consortium based in the UK who has done due diligence!
Step forward B&K!

My hope is that they are paying with actual money as opposed to buying with cash borrowed against the value of the club.

One would hope so.  Along with a few more who have heaps of cash.
