Deadly is back in town !

Maybe the last nine years didn't really happen

A bit like Dallas but instead of Bobby stepping out of the shower, it's Herbert

Naked, dripping wet, aroused and wielding only a tennis racquet.

Have a nice day.

Twatter big on rumours of a meeting at VP on Wednesday which, I think, Kendrick has also confirmed?
I can confirm that there is a meeting at Villa Park on Wednesday. Time 2.30 pm.
Out side the club shop where I'm meeting a mate to buy the new shirt. Quite how Twatter and Kendrick got hold of this I don't know.
I'll be having strong words with my people to find out where this leak came from.

I simply refuse to believe this until I see you in the shirt, in the car park

But it's on the Internet so it must be true. People never make things up just to put it on the internet.

Fortunately I read your comment without reading the Doug comment first so I thought  we were still talking about Holly Willoughby.

So thanks I will have a nice day.😁

Alan Nixon on Twitter is saying that no takeover is close. Things changed a few weeks back and were not acting like a club that's being sold

Frankly as long as we're being run correctly and we're spending adequate funds I don't really mind who's in charge.

Nixon is right sometimes, but not often enough to have huge faith in his mystic meg like abilities.

If Jianlin is buying Albion as rumoured, and Lerner turned him away, I will be very worried about the future though. 29th richest bloke in the world is turned down, by a guy that when appointing managers went for Mcleish, Houllier with a health issue and gave Lambert a 4 year deal after 3 decent results. Choosing our next owner needs to be a bit of a better swing.

I was going to say that it seems unlikely we've turned down a really good bid if there's not another one in the offing

But Lerner has made some very odd choices over the years. Almost like he isn't a naturally talented businessman and just say inherited a company

I've been feeling a sense of dread since reading the last two posts. Can anyone make it go away?

Unless you've get Chelsea or Man City money behind you, it doesn't matter who you've got bankrolling you over a certain level, as long as the club is being run properly by those who have day to day responsibilty for it.

I personally wouldn't be to upset if Randy stays if the progress Tom Fox seems to be making continues. He could prove to be the best signing he makes during his ownership.

Other than the potential for a "hairdresser" option, my biggest concern with a change of ownership would be that they canned Fox and we ended with another 12 months of someone getting their feet under the desk and reorganising the way the commercial side of things is set up again.

Yes, with two words.

"Alan" and "Nixon".

Go in peace, my brother.

I am not going to lay into Fox until he gives us a reason to, so in that sense, he's good with me, but I don't really see how there is particular evidence that he is making progress.

Is there?

Strikes me there's nothing to suggest he's fucking it up, but nothing to suggest he's doing particularly well thus far.

Agreed. And if Lerner is re-energised and supporting sherwood with funding I don't think we need to panic.

Oh I dunno. If you believe the noises out of the club and Lamberts petulant snub of him then it was Fox who insisted to Lerner that enough was enough and we needed to change manager.

Also so far , and obviously its tentative, but so far the transfer window seems to be fairly steady and solid as opposed to the pretty random grab bag we had in previous recent windows.

I will ding him for speaking to the press as much as he does though. I am not sure why he is doing that, we gain nothing by that, it just fuels more nonsense. If I was him I would stay silent until he has some news to announce.
