I would be tempted to bring in Bacuna for Albrighton, but largely agree with your selection.

You have a point actually. It would also mean a little bit more protection in midfield and a free kick taker on the pitch.

I think Bacuna would be more suited to playing at the tip of a diamond too, on the chance that we change shape during the game.

I've been giving the team some thought and here's how i'd go.

                 Guzan

Lowton  Vlaar  Baker Bertrand

    KEA    Westwood    Delph

Albrighton      Holt      Gabby

Subs: Steer Weimann Robinson Bacuna Clark Tonev Luna

The same team for me Clampy. Think Weimann needs a rest and Holt's extra height will be useful against a physical team like Palace. Would possibly have Bennett ahead of Bertrand though.

I would be tempted to have Bacuna in place of Gabby. Albrighton deserves to start and hopefully Weimann and Gabby could be dangerous impact subs as sticking with them week in week out isn't proving a massive success.

I just had a sneaky look on their pre-match thread, not many over there are predicting an away win put it that way. Had a few chuckles at the 4-0's and Mighty Palace 5 - 0 predictions though.

Tonev is the only player i see running at players, I like this.

According to my scientifically accurate simulator (Or Fifa 14 to the layperson), the score will be 1-0 Palace. Jerome latching onto a Clark error to put the ball in the net. We'll huff and puff and create a few half chances but won't be able to break through.

Tonev scores a lot of goals on Fifa 14. Perhaps we should play him as a lone striker tomorrow.

Shit. I should be playing Tonev a bit more then I guess! ha ha.

I would actually play him tomorrow. I'd be hitting Palace with pace. Gabby, Tonev and Alby as a front 3 could work well. I think Holt is better as an impact player, and I'm not sure it's the game for him. Palace will be well set up to deal with a Holt at the back. They will be more susceptible to pace.

Tonev is getting closer though. He was a whisker wide against Utd. He had a good shot on target against Fulham. I think he's due a top corner special against Palace.

Need to keep the ball on the floor and run at them. I'd also play Andi through the middle - see how it works. Gabby and Marc to hug the touchlines to give us proper width.

81 go for a Palace win. How depressing is this?

Actually I'd change my vote if I could (not that it matters much on a pre-match thread). I think this will be a draw, low-scoring but not goalless.

Villa have not beaten Palace away since 1980. If Lambert's Inconsistents can end that run at Pulis's Competents, I will be amazed.

Under Holloway they were heading for relegation with a possible record for least points and now it looks like they will stay up with games to spare so I can understand them getting a bit carried away. Still hope they are very wrong though.

I don't think winning at Palace would be particularly amazing feat to be honest.
