Same old Villa fucking useless. Loss.  1-4 to complete a hat-trick of 4-1s.

I reckon this will be like the same fixture last year, a horrible nerve-wracking tense affair settled by a 90th minute goal which will be somehow bundled over the line.

Beat me to it, Paulie.

I just wonder how many will be left in the ground to see Villa snatch a last minute goal?

1-0. Vlaar from the half way line.

That was actually the year before. Last season we wrestled a draw from the jaws of victory - N'Zogbia for us and Fabian Delph scoribg an own goal for them. Relegation battles are beginning to merge together. It will probably be another tight 1-1 or such like on Saturday.

Whatever the result, we'll make it fu**in' hard for ourselves, as per.
4-0 win.

Or a 0-0 draw.

or 0-1 to them.

or 3-3

or 0-3

such is Aston Villa 2013-14!

But I remain optimistic! Praying. Hoping. Polishing my lucky charm (not a euphemism, you dirty-minded fu**ers).

UTV!

I did stop to think while I was typing it and think "err, actually, was that the year before?" but like you said, they all merge into one gigantic multi-season mush of unhappiness.

If we score early I will be worried.

God knows. I am assuming a defeat though. Hopefully KEA will be fit. Last two games have shown how much we miss his pressing imho.

Sorry guys but it doesn't look good for Saturday as my daughter is attending the game and she has never seen villa win in over 20 attempts. I even made a point of taking her to the Palace game on Boxing Day to break the jinx (sorry). Looks like a repeat for me we lumber on for 90 minutes trying to score and then sidwell does the inevitable. At least you'll know who to blame!

I see Fulham have knocked £100 off season tickets as an apology to fans for this season...

Well that and the fact that there's an 80% chance that they'll be playing in the Championship next season.

Sidwell winner in the 90th minute for them. I think given how winnable this game is and the fact we should win it comfortably, and how desperate Fulham are for a win at the moment, we'll oblige them. I've said it before but I'll say it again, as this is comfortably our most winnable game on paper in the last 7, it's the one I worry about the most. We always approach games like this wrong. We're not in the shit enough, as we were playing QPR last season, that we'll find that bit extra from somewhere, IMO. When everything seems to point to a Villa win, the team seems to disappoint.

Hope I get proven wrong though and Benteke lashes in a hattrick.

I agree but don't you think in his absence Lambert could have played Lowton and moved Bacuna into KEA's higher pressing role.  For me this would have been much better than having Sylla in there or leaving Delph and Westy on their own and shunting Alby up top with the other forwards?
