Crap article. A lot of people conveniently forgetting just how badly the reverse fixture was reffed, essentially handing Chelsea an underserved win. Mourinho even made the point that Lambert should have a bit more class and not complain about the decisions...and what of yesterdays game? Yep, we'll be hearing Moaninho bleating on about the ref all bloody week I expect. Fucking tosser.

Well deserved win. Not just based on yesterday but based on the last 3 times we've played those cheating bastards. We were excellent against them at the end of last season but Terry spent the whole game kicking lumps out of Benteke to wind him up and it sadly worked.

We're more than due a victory against Chelsea. On performance grounds, on class grounds and on moral grounds.

Moaninho also said we were just an over physical, long ball team after that game at their place.
There was only one team hoofing the ball yesterday, and it fucking wasn't us !!

LOOK at the Holte End!! LISTEN to the Holte End - Guy Mowbray, BBC MOTD commentator. Beautiful moment, beautiful commentary. Will live long in the memory.
That was a great bit of commentary, brilliant. He captured that moment so well.

It's unbelievably satisfying to beat those horrible fuckwits isn't it.

I love all this bleating too, the incorrect sense of injustice they have is almost scouse like.

Warms the cockles of your heart doesn't it.

I believe Beasley is a Chelsea supporter so no real surprise with his take on the game - it might as well have been written by the Moronic one

They refer to the disallowed goal as though it were a miscarriage of justice. The bloke caught it and then kicked it in.

He cannot say much though. Doesn't want to get into trouble. Bless.

Still grinning idiotically about the Delph goal this morning. A great Villa Park occasion.

Good report from Rob Beasley of the Sun, taking care to show both viewpoints.
If anything he is slightly harsh on Chelsea and giving us a little too much credit!

@patmurphybbc: Villa Park a classic football theatre tonight. Few grounds in country better for vibrant atmosphere when full & the team's deserving support

it was fantastic but what I'd say was better was the standing ovation we gave at half time after a spirited first half display.

You see that's what people want, none of us are asking for 80% possession at home or 17 wins, just aggression, pressing and some decent passing and we had all 3 last night which helped us win the game so a bit more of that resulting in more than 5-6 home wins would be welcome.

I'd be interested to see what happens next week. I sincerely hope not but Stoke has the air of an West Ham, Palace type game so really hope we don't go back to the turgid football that is our usuall calling card at VP.

It is Tattumesque in its lack of balance.

Beasley is a Chelsea fan, I think he actually broke the Abramovich takeover story years back but think he was based in the midlands for a bit as a reporter so you'd have hoped for a bit of balance at least in his article seeing as Chelsea only had two shots on target with 11 men.

I really like Mourhinio and would have him at Villa anyday. One thing interested me was that he and Lambert kept talking all through his raging which showed a bit of class from Paul. I prefer Jose's raging to weasley Venger and many of the other sour, two-faced Preeemiership bosses.
Although it was a soft sending off-all the major decisions Foy made appeared correct when watching the replays, and for all their dominance up to Willie's walk they only managed 2 shots on target.
