I've been avoiding this thread because I'm watching highlights late evening.

One of my best mates has just texted me the result.....the dozy bugger   >:(

Brilliant from Cav, a record that could last for years.

The win was classic Cav, leaving his own train picking wheels to follow and a final kick that didn’t give anyone the chance to pass him.

And 69.4kms per hour. That's some speed.

On the Eurosport TDF YouTube coverage, I still haven't worked out how he teleported ahead of the EF(?) pink shirt guy between camera cuts.

Edit: They do a overhead later to show it. Cee Bol reaction is great as well.

Certainly the GOAT as a TdF sprinter. Professional cycling though is such a nuanced sport, there are areas where Cav doesn't get anywhere close.

Until Pogacar gets there. 7 years maybe?

He won’t get there imho…these riders are starting pro younger so the next Pogacar and co will be along shortly & it’s debatable another sprinter will ever be as dominant

Pogacar and Vingegaard at it again in the TDF!

Brilliant aperitif to the football!
