A mate did a 12 hour TT a few weeks ago, he covered something live 290 miles and averaged just over 200 watts. For 12 fucking hours!

Cav and Wout Van Aert confirmed for the Tour of Britain. I was thinking about Stage 4 on the 8th, either the finish on the Orme or the Ffynnon Eidda climb (or both if I can work out the best route around the race).

I'll head out for Day 2 probably to Slapton Sands and make a day of it riding back through Torbay and along to Exeter to see the finish, I should beat them back.

So the sprint rather then the Climb just before it.

The finish would be a nice "race" for you. 40 odd miles at 16-17mph via 75miles at 26-27mph.

Flew under my radar but the Women's Tour of Britain kicks off next week and stage 2 is a small 10 lap loop outside of Walsall between Great Barr and Aldridge.

Thanks for the heads up on this!
The 10 laps should make for good watching.
My cousin and I will now be there cheering the riders on and telling each other how good we used to be!

The QOM is a tiny climb though if they only use the roads. As it is alternative laps, they might use the climb into Beacon proper but it is nothing really still for a QOM points section. But I will be based there for half the race and then try to scoot into the Town centre for the finish.

I only knew about it as I saw the road closure signs yesterday evening on my normal loop.

Paris-Roubaix this weekend!

Lizie Deignan wins the P-R Femme with a breakaway from a long way out in wet and muddy conditions.

She is racing the tour of Britain, after seeing the state of her Hands yesterday I wasn't sure she would.

See what happens when the mental powers of a collective cycling audience are applied when they see Mosconi lead in the final 20 kms and looking unassailable .

What a race and what a finish.
