Eighteen wickets (so far) in a day. Let's hope the pitch doesn't cost us points.
Chris Wright has only bowled 7 overs does anyone know if he's injured?
We've clawed ourselves back into this game and need a monumental effort by the batsmen in the second innings to stand a chance of even drawing the game. With three days left I guess all results are possible with Sussex favourites.
Wright was not injured, but he was taken off early in his opening spell as he was expensive and bowling a lot of no balls. Pacey enough, but nowhere near his form of 2 seasons ago.
I am afraid Chopra set the tone for our batting with his cavalier flashing away outside off stump. Quite a few of us at the ground thought that they had decided the wicket held terrors so threw caution to the wind. Another theory was that the batting lineup was so strong that everybody left it to everybody else.
You would think that Joyce's performance may be get us off the hook for the wicket. He was in no trouble at all.
I had forgotten that early n the season, you can be frozen at one end of the ground, and baked at the other.
