We are currently playing worse than one of the main contenders to get relegated. I think I might go to bed and hope that I find out in the morning that we have turned things round and salvaged a draw at least..

The fundamental basics of playing football escape this team and therefore its utterly incompetent & shameful coaching and management team. My half drunk smelly Sunday morning veterans team who had been in the curry house earlier until 2am had five times more tactical nous.

OGS has sussed Lamberts tactics out and we're too predictable. We don't have any intuitive player to open them up. Tekkers and Gabby are shackled most of the time.

We look more likely to concede than score.

Who was saying on the pre match thread they were shit, well Villa are unable to break them down so far, still a rousing half time Lambert talk should ensure two quick goal s in the second half.....

45 minutes you'll never get back.  And on that note, goodnight Villa, I'm switching off BT Sport and watching re runs of Two And A Half Men instead because frankly, you bore me.

We just don't look like a team, do we?

We look like a defence, a couple of strikers, and a bit of a random mess in the middle.

There never seems to be any shape to us, does there?

It really is absolute gash. I've always thought the major problem is the squad isn't good enough - and that is one of the problems - but really, what do they do in training? Do they work on things like movement or possession? Do we work on our passing?

We struggle to complete throw-ins, let alone passes, so fuck knows what he's working on at BMH.

Oh well, another two or three years on the contract, so we'd better get used to this shit.

We are all over the place, no semblance of a system, no defensive cohesion. Without Vlaar we'd be losing.

I'm a Westwood fan but he's been very poor again this match. Not that he's helped out at all in any way by our Stone Age tactics and set-up.

Oh please! He plays like this every single game! He's an appalling footballer who is out of his depth in the PL.

I thought he was our best player last Saturday - at least passing the ball and not hiding...

The set up is just as bad.

Who's fault is it?

I disagree. I'm sorry every time someone disagrees with you that you vent forth some Ohing and Ahing ejaculation like a swooning Dame in a Regency novel.

We need to be a million times better in the second half. We have massively rode our luck.

I've only just got in, I thought it was on SKY and was in two minds about watching it. Reading the reviews here plus the fact I haven't got BT Sport has made my mind up for me thank God.

Poor, very poor. So much bad decision making going on out there, there's been so many options for a good pass or through ball and every time it just gets pinged backwards instead. I have to think this is more because of the tactics and coaching by Lambert and co rather than the players. Good to see we are playing with a bit of width today, but does everything have to go down the f'ing wing, we've had a few through balls available with Gabby or Benteke  sat on the last man, and then pinged it out to the wing. Can't we vary our play.

Benteke has had a couple of chances and should have done better.

Our central midfield is not good enough to go with just 2 against any team in this league. Get 3 in there asap.

And I turned to my brother on Saturday and said, "We need to change this. This is where we need a Plan B."

Which was of course to concede two in as many minutes...  Can see that happening again!
