As if by magic the shop keeper appears.

16,180 vs Southampton Nov 24th 1993.
Okay we're not going to get that low. Though to be fair our capacity is bigger than it was in 93.  I envision a few near half empty games on the horizon. Stoke at home just looks like a seriously unattractive proposition. Like trying to pull in a nightclub and Katie Hopkins is the best look bint there.
And if the nightclub was in Stoke she might be.

I think the reason he's not getting much stick in the press is due to our league position. They don't pay us much attention so don't know / care how bad the performances are.

However that could seriously change if we lose our next 4 league games, which I can see happening; Leicester are due a home win then it's 3 very tough matches.

Could even Lambert survive that? (God forbid we get knocked out the FA Cup too).

He lost 6 in a row earlier in the season without getting the Spanish archer so I don't think a run of 4 in a row would kill him off. We won't lose all 4 anyway.

No idea why they still open the upper trinity , sit up there you can more or less have a block to yourself.
Bit like upper witton p7 there were 2 of us on a row yesterday and nobody on the row in front or behind .

Because they are the most expensive seats.

The capacity now is actually liwer now than in 1993-94. The 45000 plus crowd for the Holte's last stand was the Premier League's biggest ever crowd at that point.

Who on earth voted no? Must have pressed the wrong the wrong button!

Raises hand. I still support him. I don't blame people who don't though.

Me too, financial constraints etc.

I'm not trying to change your mind, however it was pointed out on soccer saturday there are other managers in the league working on similar budgets.

There is no excuse for the way we play, there are plenty of good enough players in that team and he does not have a fucking clue how to set them up

Who else works under these constraints and where are they in the table?

Pardew to a degree at Newcastle. Another owner satisfied with mid table and selling any player who turns a profit.

Yes Pardew, also Pulis when he was at Palace, The Stripey Filth, Burnley, Don't think Stoke or Swansea have spent a lot, & Leicester

It's all here

The quickest way to split fans is a boycott.
The fans are already split
And id argue a boycott of sorts is already happening

Randy started his a long time ago.

Totally agree.   The financial constraints argument is a Lambert apologists' fantasy.

Who could have had less finance and more sturm und drang ownership issues than Small Heath? and look at the difference a competent manager has made to them.  If we go on playing the way we are playing and they go on playing the way they are playing there is a very real chance of the doomsday scenario of them coming up as we go down.

And they'll probably get new owners and investment before we do.

I can't agree with that. Lambert should certainly be getting more out of the current squad attack wise and I think we could be playing a lot better. However, to suggest there is no financial constraint or that it doesn't have an affect on the players we can buy, is a nonsensical argument.

We spent £7 million in the summer, a pathetic amount, similar to a tiny club like Burnley, while we finished with 38 points. A new manager prepared to work under similar conditions (if we make an assumption that we find the right manager) would be equally hamstrung and face a mid-table glass ceiling.

I'd say the financial constraints for Lambert have been more on wages than transfer fees.
