Lambert has humiliated us from day one. How on earth he can still have support is beyond me.

This season's goal scoring record is I think the worst humiliation of the lot though. Just one goal at the Holte End all season is absolutely embarrassing and depressing. If he had any decency or respect he'd resign.

Spot on. I have been an advocate of him leaving for what seems like years now, though it isn't. Interesting to see the abuse about him getting quite personal now in the light of previous comments on here about doing that

It's sooooooo boooooorrrriiiinnnngggggg - what's the point?

We will not challenge for the title again in my lifetime
The FA and League Cups are not taken seriously
The achievable target of European football would ruin us

So what's the point? Beating Hull twice a season?
I know it's about supporting Villa through thick and thin but when does the thin end...

There might not be any of the usual names who get recycled to replace him, but you're saying there isn't a manager somewhere in world football who we could attract and who wouldn't do a better job? I doubt it.

I think I could name 15 quite quickly.

Go on then

Advocaat, Laudrup, Tuchel, Cowans, Gullit, Lippi, Sven, Redknapp (God I hate saying it), Pulis, Arena, Spalletti, Rangnick, Magath (despite what happened at fulham), Pereira (employed but supposedly looking for better) and Flores.

I'm not saying all would be a success but my point is that there are many available and better.

I put Pulis in because he was available and he would have done better.

Redknapp? really?

He's rather cut off his penis with a rusty bread knife than come here

I don't like losing, but I can't say I felt humiliated leaving West Ham in August 2012 after a 1-0 defeat. Really hot, yes, but not humiliated.

It's January.
More than half of the league games have now been played and we have scored 11 goals.
Just think about that.

FUCKING ELEVEN !!!!

Palace are in the bottom 3 but have scored 20 goals, yes 20 goals
would that make you feel any better ?

Liecester have scored 19, but are rock bottom, do you want to swap with them ?
Well, yes. I would swap the number of goals they have scored with ours.
What your point?

That points are more important than goals scored
You are Paul Lambert and I claim my five pounds.

I thought relegation was the thing we were nailed on for according to you over the last 3 seasons
the big thing that we all had to worry about was years in the the lower divisions

Now it's our goal scoring record, I wish you would make your mind up

I know we are not currently managers but

Me, my wife, either of my two daughters, my two dogs who are big Villa fans, any of my three cats who are also part of the Villa faithful, my next door neighbours on both sides who amount to four people, five if you include one the couple's young sons, my lesbian friends down the road who could take up the manager and assistant manager roles, I think that's about 16 and it took me 30 seconds to do

Happy New year Saunders,
hope 2015 brings us many more disagreements, I've enjoyed them in the past

This is exactly the kind of over the top, crazy hand wringing, "WAH! WAH! THE SKY IS FALLING!" bullshit that has me sincerely hoping he turns things round despite the mountain of evidence indicating that he is unlikely to do so. "Lambert has humiliated us from day one." Really? REALLY? Fucking hell.

Yes that's it it's a very slippery thin end, and we keep slipping back on it, finishing 17th and above is the name of the game. I will go absolutely mental if we don't beat Blackpool on Sunday.

Yes, really.
Every season he's been here he's humiliated us. Nothing OTT about that.

'Humiliating us from day one' might be a bit over the top but he's into his third year and we don't seem to be going anywhere.

Surely some of you must be happy with possession stats of late? Yesterday 76% in the first half and 70% overall. Isn't that incredible?

Pity it's all sideways though.
