Dear Mr. Leaner , the Avengers are not available in Aston B6, to save us... We are in the mire, in Amercian terms... The FUCKING shit.... PL needs to go, now, 11 goals .... Is that another Villa low record he holds?  How can you Mr. Chairman afford not to gamble but lose on £40 million retainer fee??????

That post would have been most relevant two years ago, and even last season at this point for that matter. By the way, I was one of those who thought we would go down two years ago, and I cannot for the life of me understand the mantra that the worst teams always go down based on my almost 50 years as a Villa fan, even when only 2 teams were relegated.

RL did not flinch then, nor did he when he learned of the grim season ticket sales figures for this season. In fact, he awarded Lambert a 4 year contract to make things abundantly clear for anybody seeking clarity.

The only weapon in this era is to stop going, and that does not seem to work in this case. The Viagogoers  are providing a very useful hedge for the bean counters.

one win in recent memory and the Lambert poll takes on a completely different hue. Truly this guy has the most charmed existence of any football manager anywhere

Well, 2 wins in 15 league games now. If we lose to Palace we must get rid. True, there have been injuries but we are still performing below capability. With everyone fit, and considering the standard of many teams in the PL now, on paper this team playing consistantly should be good enough for the top half and i'm not knee jerking re Bacuna and Grealish, ive always thought they should be playing;
4-4-2
Guzan
RB Hutton
LB Sissokho
CB Vlaar
CB Okore
RM Bacuna
CM Sanchez
CM Delph
LW Grealish
CF Benteke
CF Agbonlahor
Plenty of pace there and should be enough goals. A few decent players on the bench also, Senderos, Richardson, Westwood, Weimann, Kozak.
Only one reason i can think why this lot wouldn't do quite well...

Totally agree.  He's reached the point where he has actually assembled a decent side on paper, but I just can't see him having the imagination or the nous to take us forward.  There have been very strong cases for him to go at various times during his tenure at the club, but now would be a good time for all parties.  We could get someone in who could hopefully build on what we already have and make a couple of additions in the transfer window, whereas Lambert could leave with his reputation fairly intact in the wider football community and be able to get employment fairly easily.

It would create even more space for the forwards if the goalkeeper kicked the ball at the corner flag and it rebounded along the touchline at great velocity.
Id like to see Guzan rebound his goal kicks off the north stand corporate box facades . 2 reasons
A) it wakes the prawn sandwhich brigade up
B) see A

It does make me laugh. I envy the hope they have though.

To me he could have been binned after Sheff Utd debacle which was loss number 3 to a lower league team.

He should have been binned in the summer.

Without a doubt, the summer was time to get rid.

I thought it was a definite at WHL.

That's a bit of a scoop if true.  Would that be one of the reasons why said ex-CEO isn't here any more?

Lambert is under no pressure at all.

That is because the owner has zero ambition beyond survival.

Anywhere else, he would have been sacked at at least five or six points of the last two and a bit years, but not here.

Even the likes of Albion would not put up with the absolute shit we are served up.

That is easily the worst thing, the people running us have zero ambition.

Randy has managed a total transformation from one of the best owners in the league to being one of the worst.

Nothing seems to bother him. Crowds down to 25k, lowest in fifteen years? Worst home record in our history? Mustering up eleven goals in half a season?

He doesn't give a toss about any of this.

Paul can only work under the budget he has been provided with.

Yesterdays red card was his fault again.

That would be a fair point if "Paul" got anything like the best out of the players he has, though.

He doesn't, though.

I have always suspected Lambert staying and Faulkner leaving was connected.

The dire football in the first half was directly attributable to 'Paul' Second half was marginally more interesting because one of our players couldn't keep his donut.
