We started that at the Leicester match, I don't think I've ever seen a goalkeeper pass the ball backwards to a full back before.

Right I had calmed down a bit but you have got me mad again after mentioning that stupid stupid move. FFS Lambert how on earth did you come up with that? It's clumsy, cumbersome and amateur to a laughable state. GIVE IT UP.

Driving home from the game yesterday I put WM on . Sir Graham had been co commentating at the game and was asked about the bizarre tactics of Guzan constantly passing ball out to FB's on the goal line ! He was pretty much speechless and stumped as to why we would employ such a stupid policy and heap pressure on our goal at close quarters !
Absolutely mental approach
It's something that has crept in over the last few games and probably coincides with Keane leaving.
I said during the Leicester game, it puts too much pressure on the team.
We are not anywhere near a good enough team to play the ball out from the back.
But, if we must, do from in advance of 18 yard line, not level with the bloody 6 yard box and when you are in danger of boxing yourselves into the corners.

Me neither, I was having kittens when say cissoko was dithering on the ball square with our 6 yard box and then he'd roll a square ball inside to Clark who had 2 strikers bearing down on him. Watching it unfold was like an out of body experience .

My mate goes absolutely ballistic when they do it. If it's an attempt to keep possession, they should try something else. Cissohko was virtually by the corner flag when he received one ball yesterday, but all he did was pass it back to Guzan.

I've been trying to think about the occasions we have gone down to ten men under Lambert and am I right in saying that we have gone on to lose every game when that has happened?  I think losing a man is a real test of a manager and how they are able to reorganise their side as the game is in progress.  I watched the game yesterday and I thought Lambert showed little signs of being proactive when we went down to ten and instead stuck with the same way of playing in the hope we could hang on or nick something.  I thought it became clear in the second half that they were exerting more pressure on our goal, yet still he stuck with the same way of playing, probably thinking that all was well at 0-0.

Different sport, but the ex-England cricket captain Nasser Hussain is always talking about the need for captains to be proactive rather than reactive.  Unfortunately for us, I think our manager is definitely in the latter camp.  He seems unable to influence a game during the 90 minutes with tactical changes or substitutions.

It comes across as really amateurish that one of our new ''tactics'' we've been working on in training is a backwards pass to a fullback. Sums up Lamberts mentality and capacity. Richardson sending off aside we still looked like we couldn't create fuck all beforehands.

Oh and Lambert kept up his 100% record of always losing the 3rd game if we've somehow managed to win the 2 before under him. No point saying sack him because he's here for as long as that gorm Lerner is but boy Is he a bag of shit.

We run out of ideas whenever we get to the half way line so it looks like another time wasting tactic to me.

There is a big difference between getting humped 8 at Chelsea and losing because of dippy Richardson.

Stated earlier that he is never proactive, he reacts to the situation the opposition put us in, we very rarely alter tactics to put the other team under a new pressure. It also does not help where there are no tactically minded players out on the pitch, I mean we have one brain cell Gabby as a Captain when Vlarr is not fit and I am not sure Vlarr is that tactically aware either.

The team really is a reflection of the manager at the moment.

True. And his substitutions are usually the stuff of nightmares.

Hull 2-1
Liverpool 1-0
Arsenal 0-3

Crystal P 1-0
Leicester 2-1
Albion 0-1

Norwich 4-1
Chelsea 1-0
Stoke 1-4

Reading 2-1
QPR 3-2
Liverpool 1-2

Sunderland 6-1
Norwich 2-1
Chelsea 1-2

The only times we've won 2 on the trot under him in the league and we've lost every single game after it. We just can't get any momentum going under him. Maybe he's unlucky, maybe he's too negative now, I don't know, but nothing points to this working out under him.

I think I read the other day that in 90+ games under him a sub has only scored 3 goals.

I would expect Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool to beat us. The Stoke game is the only surprising result knowing how Richardson's stupidity completely ruined the game yesterday.
