Basically I want Villa to do well and play well.  The gist of this Guardian piece suggests that if the shit atmosphere between the three of them has been ongoing and obvious prior to matches, no wonder the performances have sucked.

If PL and Sid etc can get good performances and a positive atmosphere I'd like to give them a chance.

I think the question is moving swiftly on from should Lambert be sacked to who should replace him. My vote is for Nigel Adkins formerly of Southampton now of Reading. For a start we might start to pass the ball a bit more.

He was actually my first preference ahead of Lambert, mainly on account of the style of football.

I'd hope we would be looking at someone a bit more high profile than that to be honest, especially if money was available.  Might be aiming a little too high, but I would like to see someone like Frank De Boer from Ajax.

Adkins is a good manager and seems a decent bloke. Rosler looks a decent manager too, but way too soon.

De Boer won't come here.

Laudrup would probably be top of my list, but it is not an easy thing to find an obvious candidate.

Oh apart from Klopp when the takeover happens of course.

I still think get Dynamo in as the manager.  He could create the illusion of fantastic football and at least could entertain the crowd if things are going really crap.

It's time to think out of the box!

He is less a man and more of a myth really. Whose to say if he really exists? Legend has it, that he agrees with Dave.

Buzzsaw would be a better manager.

If we see an improvement on Saturday and then for the remainder of the season Lambert will probably be kept on.  Big "if" of course.

If we win on Saturday, I'm happy for Peter Pannu to manage us for the last 4 games

I actually see an improvement in form undermining him further as most will attribute it to the two S's

That is some twisted logic. it seems clear from everything I have read that the board are backing him, better results will just imply that the action yesterday has to an extent addressed the issue.

My worry is that we have players punching and catching the ball all over the pitch due to Given's coaching.
