These quotes are intended to be read by fans as to understand Lamberts feelings. Keep the faith. Lambert certainly does

That's OK to say during the first season of struggle and maybe the second. When do you draw the line and say he's had long enough, no matter how much "faith" he's keeping?

For discussion sake its noted that  Lambert has won the opening match the last 2 seasons at 2 difficult venues arsenal and stoke. In his first season he lost at west ham so there is progress. He has also 2014/15 season over seen a victory at Anfield and Britannia stadium  historically very difficult stadiums to gain victories. I think that shows  technical and motivational capabilities. However the hardest evidence is in keeping Aston Villa in the top flight which requires technical and motivational abilities as a manager. To say he comes up short every time is vastly inaccurate.

I don't think there is any genuine villa fans who wish lambert bad things, we all really want success and I'm sure he does aswell.
Question is how long do we give him ? Another 3 games , 5, 6 months ? 4 years ?
The football philosophy and overall strategy appears shocking ! Counter attack as a 100% tactic, bullying coaches , bomb squads, non bomb squads , I just don't get it

Would it not be more accurate to say he gets the odd impressive result which is always followed by an absolutely dreadful run?  I see no improvement in that pattern.

Positive results in next 4 or 5 matches will get everyone on side. 2 or 3 wins and 2 or 3 draws for example and i would expect a real good vibe in run up to Christmas. Perhaps with interesting transfer window developments as well as these positive results in the next 10 matches renewed optimism for the new year can be embraced by all. Keep the faith.

Fucking hell !!
Talk about totally deluded.
Positive results in the next 10 games? Have you been watching villa over the last couple of years?
Some positivity for 10 minutes would be nice, never mind 10 games!

10 games! I'm pissing myself.

yep, hold on to your seat...right? As one former poster used to decree. Although I imagine right now I could hold on to my seat and the four empty ones next to me.

No not at all I don't have such a business mind. But I do understand the outcome. The consequences. How these developments require a structure and take time. Small Successes are Big. It can be said visions for big successes can result in big failures. There is a focus instead on a series of small successes these next 4 or 5 matches will be a great opportunity.

I also think I will leave posting on here up to the 5 matches. Perhaps tuning in when the hopeful positive results come in. I don't think my posting and then people speculating I'm Mr Fox is so good. Categorically I am not he.  I do offer warm words.I'm respecting all views and opinions on here lets look to be constructive and open to change in perspective. Its not always so easy at times of struggle or under performance but I do suggest that there is a real belief in a change in fortune amoungst Lambert and his team. Lets see how it pans out as you say . Keep the faith .

10 minutes is verging on utopian if not messianic.

Paul Lambert believes he can enjoy a turnaround. I think a continued positive spin shows he does talk sense despite some people indicating his faults in his stewardship. He has always said he acknowledges the fans and that they have been great. I think that shows a decent attitude despite the continued disparaging remarks towards his managing. As much as its acknowledged the loss in cup matches to lower league sides  Chelsea , Manchester City Arsenal and Liverpool all have been beaten under Lambert and these sort of achievements must also be recognized. Its also noted in many games Villa have been competitive in matches so despite the unwanted records their is a belief things can turn round. The next 4 or 5 matches will give a good indication where Aston Villa are heading. I stress that in football things can change and happen quickly Newcastle and West Ham have shown a change and are an example of  managers under pressure who now perform. Lambert by his own admission is not under any pressure and this can help Villa find the right game plan to consistently win matches once again.

Admirable defence, I will give him credit for the wins against the big clubs because he had a plan - defend, hope not to concede, counter quickly - perfectly valid against teams that are better - problem is that is the only tactic he has.....when the onus is on us we are clueless in breaking sides down.  I don't see how that changes, he has changed players, changed coaches....sometime he has to be accountable

If vlaar and senderos are out of the next 5 matches, I think we will be looking at conceding four or five in at least two of the games.

Lambert gone in 5 games would be my idea of positive.

5 wins, Lambert out, Lerner out and a free holiday - to be positive
