I have to say, i disagree

I agree entirely with what you said (TV) in the sense of "this is how it should be handled" but I doubt very much they will do it that way.

They were talking to him about a new contract a few weeks ago

He is doing what they want - keeping us up on the cheap.

And that is the most depressing thing about this entire mess

I can put up with us being shit. I can't put up with that being acceptable to the club though

Faulkner will not ring Randy up and say 'get rid'.If he did he would be following him out of the door.

The contract talks have been wisely put on hold as when it was first mooted we were losing to West Ham and Newcastle.

There's nothing set in stone that talks will be reopened. Say we finished this season 17th (our worst ever prem finish) with something like 36 points (our worst ever premier league points tally) then you have grounds for a sacking right there.

Thing is just a few weeks ago things were looking up and optimism was on the rise. It isn't now and in any business decisions change based on circumstances. A few weeks ago the plan was starting to make sense. I certainly don't think they will fire him now, but as I said, it will be if things keep going the way they are. They cannot extend his deal because of the financial consequences.

Really?  Has the plan ever made sense?

The plan would have been to reduce wages and expenditure to an acceptable level relative to revenue which we are on the way to doing. It would have also been to improve the results and playing side of the club which we seemed to be heading towards at the end of last season, and few weeks into this. We've even hinted at it at other times during the season. However, something has fundamentally gone wrong since Chelsea. Now, there might be a miracle and the last 6 games are fantastic and he earns a reprieve. However, if it carries on as it has the last three games he won't be here.

He just seems emotionally detached from everything and everyone. I just don't think he gets 'it'. He seemed to hide in the 2nd half. I do believe he is tired of the season as much as we are of watching it.

Why oh why are we so bad in the period after we win a big game, that's a big black mark against Lambert's managerial reign.

That has to be one of the most infuriating things of this season, any hope we get from an unexpected result is quickly evaporated.

Beat Arsenal- lost our next three.

Beat Man. City- two points from our next 4 games and didn't score in those four games.

Beat Southampton- lost our next four.

Beat WBA- 1 point from our next four games.

Beat Chelsea- lost our next three and counting.

There certainly seems to be complaceny in the squad when we get a good result and almost a relaxation in performance which means we go back to losing as we can't win games just coasting.

The defence also seems to have started believing the praise it was getting after the Chelsea game when our stats for the season were pretty good as it's been a shambles ever since.

No tears from me if he was.

It was mooted a few years ago about root and branch overhaul. Our club is in dire need of it from top to bottom.

There is not one single piece of evidence to justify keeping this clueless man. Can't even describe him as a manager.

The plan hasn't made sense for a long, long time

The board need to ensure that the investment is there. Gabby, Delph, KEA and of course Benteke out and we are left so exposed.

Lambert's substitutions have been bizarre at times but today's Bowery for Albrighton switch was the weirdest of the lot.

I've no problem with bringing Bowery on at that point but why take off the bloke most likely to put in a telling cross.

The move for me would have been to take off Bertrand and go three at the back
