Somewhere there must be a list of all these records under Lambert?

God what a depressing read that would be, I think I'd cry.  Still someone should start one and maybe someone might wave it under this assclowns nose.

All of these things are acutely depressing but the most depressing thing of all is that if we get relegated it will not cost Lambert his job.   He will be seen as having fought the good fight against all the odds and that he is the perfect manager to get us back up.   THAT is the most depressing thing of all.

Just had this by text off a mate - sums up things perfectly for me

New low today, only at this club at this time could he retain that job, boring the arse of everyone, tactically clueless, poor results and record low goals. If I hadn't been going for 38 years I'd stop now until he goes,

The more he talks nonsense the more i think he cares not one bit about the club. He's here for the money alone.

When you think of all the terrible records he's set....just shows how bad you actually have to be to go down over a 38 game season and somehow we've survived.

If he's not going to go (which he won't), he needs to get a coach in that has the first idea about attacking play because this team is about as exciting and inventive as the manager. By that I mean not at all.

The only hope is Lerner looks at the attendances. Clearly the on the pitch results haven't been bad enough to make him pull the trigger but if we keep getting only 25000 villa fans turn up that might make him rethink matters. I for one refuse to spend another £1 on Villa till Lambert is gone. In fact I wouldn't go if they paid me after today.

I wonder what our lowest premier league attendance is, that could be another record for Lambert to stick on his list.

I don't understand how it hasn't been addressed so far. He obviously needs help on the training field, sorting out your number two ( tish bang) must be the most important thing for a manager. It just seems so normal for things to be rudderless at VP, its been like it for a while now and doesn't seem like its gonna change anytime soon.

What a day to start a dry month.

16,180 vs Southampton Nov 24th 1993.

It will be interesting to see the attendance for the Blackpool game - VERY low I think, for a few obvious reasons.

Mate who sits in front of me and hasn't missed a game this year said he would be unlikely to be at the Blackpool game because he has early work commitments on Monday morning. Never known him make such "excuses" before.

Fans will vote with their feet.

I seem to recall a couple of seasons ago we were leaking lots of goals but scoring quite a few, and seemed to have the attitude that if the opposition scored two we'd try and get three.  We were still shite but at least there was a modicum of entertainment there from time to time.  Now it's both shite and utterly dull.  Lambert has turned VP into the place where slow drying paint goes to get attention.

I've been in Brum over the holiday period but for the first time in 44 years of supporting I found I had better things to do with my time and money than go to either home game. It seems I didn't miss anything worth seeing.   Even when living abroad I'd always try to go to 1 or 2 games when over in the UK.  I think I've almost reached the tipping point of being beyond caring now.  With zero entertainment on offer from Villa I'm struggling to see what the point is.  These are people who are shit at their jobs and yet are paid millions.   I'm just not willing to fund that any more.  I hated Ellis but at least he could see when a manager was a no-hoper and try something different.  This Lerner clown is killing the club by lack of interest.

Yeah attendances were much worse in those days. We went top of the league with a 5-0 win v boro the season before. That was the best and most entertaining villa side I've seen. 22,000 were there. You could get in for a tenner in those days too

19,977 when we did Boro 5-1 to go top. Was live on Sky but can't really blame that as very few had it in those days.
