Not changed my opinion at all. I think that he has come to the end of his tenure, and no we can't sack him after 2 wins on the bounce, but just feels to me like the calm before the storm.

Yes he has been unlucky with injuries, I'll give him that, but I've seen enough evidence to feel that he will not move us forward, and we are always on the verge of a down turn.

If we twat Bogies 12-0 at the Borethorns on Saturday however, I'll have his babies.

Still want him out. We are more likely to go on another run of draws and defeats than anything else under him. The attacking part of our game absolutely stinks and I just feel theres too much under the bridge now with him and us. I'm still looking for someone to come in and galvanise the club and get the supporters back believing.

Surprised so many people have changed their minds after beating Crystal Palace and Leicester.

I haven't changed my opinion, he's a dreadful manager who's managed to get away with it for 2 and a bit seasons, chancer is a nice way of putting it, hopelessly out of his depth and inept wouldn't be being harsh on him.

Like others I haven't changed my opinion either. Obviously I'm delighted with the couple of wins and our current standing in the table but unlike Lerner, I'm not fooled by this.

Crap managers don't become good ones overnight and whilst I am less pessimistic about our final league position this season I'm sure we'll be flirting again with the bottom three before too long.

Has proved when given any kind of money he buys well, awful injuries and the turn around of Hutton is nothing short of magnificent.

Well done Paul.

He has to go, style of play is awful, tactics a mystery and motivation appears poor.

You have to look at the long term trend to see the real Paul Lambert, and after 2 and a half years it is clear what that trend is

Not remotely changed my opinion. Benteke will keep us up this season though.

I'm guessing that it wasn't his plan all along. "If I ostracise him for the first two years he's bound to come back a great player in the third season". Lambert is just very fortunate that Hutton is as professional as he is.

The credit for the turnaround in Alan Hutton belongs primarily to Alan Hutton.

You'd seriously credit Alan Hutton's form to Paul Lambert? After the way he's been treated for the last two years?

Not many teams wouldn't miss their best two forwards (Benteke and Kozak), Midfielder (Delph), and three defenders (Vlaar, Hutton, and Senderos) and all during a period playing the 5-6 best teams in the country all in one horrible run.

Benteke being back in the team has made a definite impact already, as has the return of Hutton and Okore getting a game. With Delph, Vlaar, Senderos and Kozak to return in the next few weeks things will pick up hopefully.

I have been wanting to see a change of manager, but now feel that we may as well see how things pan out. New assistant and maybe a signing in the window could see us have a strong finish.

I do think Lambert needs to just focus on adding better quality now, all the more expensive signings (Vlaar, Benteke, Kozak, Okore) have looked pretty astute, it's the bargain buys that have been hit and (largely) miss. We have if anything too many players now and I don't want us back to having a silly wage bill of non playing dross again having been through the pain of clearing the decks once already.

So you do think making him train with the youth team would have been some kind of motivation for him?  That substituting him after playing one half against Burton Albion in Lambert's first friendly at Aston Villa and then not playing him again for two years despite turning out for Scotland was all part of the plan?  Are you expecting Hutton to thank Lambert for all that?
