Two quite attacking fullbacks on paper, I hope we give this a real good go. Bacuna was looking horrifying at RB during decemeber but Lowton hasn't really pulled up any trees since returning and has looked suspect defensively himself. He might be injured but if it's tactical I kind of understand it. There's certainly no point coming here with 5 at the back or just trying to invite Liverpool onto us, we should go for it. They may pick us off, but we might actually score at the other end.

Thought he was bright against Arsenal. He made a difference. We'll see. I'm hoping a Benteke upturn in form will also spark Weimann into life. I'd also guess it'll be his job to get in around Gerrard and trying to stop him orchestrating.

Is the front six the same as the one that won at Anfield last year?

Good to see GG on the bench. I also suspect we'll see Holt on 60-70 minutes in a desperate bid to salvage the game.

We can't really play 5 at the back unless we play donacien

Lowton was really poor defensively against arsenal. Even if he does cross a nice ball

I think the defence looks better than it did v arsenal. But Liverpool are playing some lovely stuff at the moment and we can really struggle against good movement. Am expecting a Southampton type performance. But . .

Looking at the teams I've just got a funny feeling about this game. Liverpool are trying to integrate Sturridge and Suarez and that does affect the rest of their side.

And their full backs are weak

If it was the villa of the last third of last season id have a feeling we could get a result here.  But then I remember the kind of crap we've been playing this year and think we'll have to get pretty damn lucky to get anything

I don't think he made a huge difference if I'm honest.

I actually think Weimann could make a good central striker but Lambert seems to think he's a right winger, even though he's shown he's not very good there.

Maybe he'll score a goal like the one he got in this fixture last season, you never know. Anyway, I like Weimann, he's always up for a scrap.

I'm already on my second Pimm's, and I never have more than two. This is going to be a three Pimm's day. Especially as I have to visit my insanely glory-hunting bizarrely Liverpool-supporting sister soon too.

Depending on the result I may resort to four Pimm's, after which, in all likelihood, I'll pass quietly out.

I can see us getting thumped, really not looking forward to this game.
