Alex Cropley will always get in my all time top 10 Villa players.  He was great to watch, always influential and drove the team.  We should have had another 5 great years out of him but for that act of GBH which is what it was.

I don't think there's a pub in Brum that holds 40.000. ;D

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt if your dad will have to pay for many drinks Crops. I would turn up firstly to meet him and secondly to drink all the spare drinks that he can't manage.

I would say the Ruskin Hall Crops the Younger but I guess the Bartons Arms is where its at for the H&V glitterati.

That's a real shame if they did turn him down - wonder what the criteria is then?

Always remember the season we scored at home in every League game - we played Arsenal and just couldn't break them down and finally, late in the game, Alex pounced on a ball and rifled it into the net - it may have been 1-1 but he kept the run going that day scoring against his old club.

Im not sure what the criteria is, or what you have to do to be honest. The other year a chap called Brian Sigston did an article in the Mail on Dad, he approached the club too.

I am so, so sorry but, I just don't recognise who that is with Alex. I'm so embarrassed.
