Stick Hutton in, he'll have a lot to prove and he'll hopefully put some fire in the bellies of some of his lily livered team mates.

For tricky opponents like Crystal Palace, for one match only, there'd be no shame in Lambert enlisting the services of a fellow Scot to steady the ship. Who knows, the modern tactical innovations of Alex McLeish might inspire a draw?

We should never have sold Warnock. A class act.

We could do with some experience in the centre of defence. What's Richard Dunne up to?

Didn't QPR keep a clean sheet in his first 9 games or something daft like that?

We don't have enough forwards on the books, so the few we have have become too complacent. I'm thinking a couple of loan signings (namely Robbie Keane, Benni McCarthy, Emile He's Key), all hungry for one last payday; if they play well, we can offer them big contracts. If not, at least we'll have seen some fine forwards at Villa Park. Also, don't forget Heskey can drop back from being a defensive forward to an attacking midfielder without it affecting his performance.

I think we ought to bring in simon grayson, and play him instead of lee hendrie, he's a solid experienced performer...

Good to see he's shedding a bit of weight.

Him and Coker in would sort out our problems.

Maybe we can get De La Cruz back to take over from Lowton.

Bollocks. We need the steel of Gavin McCann and Erik Bakke in midfield.

He'd be awesome played just in front of Oyvind Leonhardsen.
