Can stop all this talk of 'campaigns' to sack Lambert.  He's been living a charmed life with the fans for ages.  We are DIRE at the back, cumbersome in midfield and toothless up front too often.  He's an unlucky manager too with injuries.

Benteke  played like drogba in his prime last season , this season he reminds me of heskey :(

At least Heskey put the effort in even if the end product wasn't there. Benteke just doesn't seem interested.

It's almost too late to sack Lambert now. Any replacement needs the January transfer window, so if he's going, he has to go after this result really. But it's academic, because he won't go, or be sacked.

Next season is big for him. These are his signings and he needs them to step and so far they aren't doing it.

If he gets next season.

We easily have to be the worst team in the league in trying intricate passes around the box

The thing that worries me most about Lambert is that his tactics are rigid or just plain incomprehensible. We always look lopsided to me, and it's often hard to tell what the gameplan is. I was under the impression he was meant to be a pragmatic, horses-for-courses sort of manager who tries to play attractive football, but we always seem to play the same way, even when it's blatantly not working (except when he panics and throws on 17 forwards).

When he came he promised entertaining , attractive football .

It's a shame we show some of our best play when we're 3-0 down and the game is dead.

Watching Villa is like making the transition from Fifa 13 to Fifa 14 and thinking I used to be really good at this....now I'm shit again.

...... But  to all the sack Lambert campaigners , who is going to come to us!, no money to spend, maybe Benteke will go for a fair price and we can get some quality instead of all youngsters!
Why oh Why didn't we take Gareth Barry, look how well he's doing at Everton

We've spent £43m mate.
Thats nothing without the wages.

What would have done us more good? Spending £43m on 12 players of dubious ability or spending £25m on 5 or so players with the extra going on a bit more wages for players who fit a certain gameplan  and of a known quality?

If Villa had a genuinely Premier League class midfielder, I think a lot of these players would look far better. They're all looking for somebody to lead them, and getting nowhere.

Man Utd have stopped playing now.
