Wouldn't it be great to have a match where things just go well from the start, we play well all the way through, that sort of thing.

I think we need a change here. I'm just not sure what it is given our options. Perhaps we go really direct again as against the Baggies? Or Tonev on to give us some width?

Herd's actually done pretty well I think. So hope he's ok.

I wish we had a player that could pass the ball the way Berbatov did for that penalty.

All the people criticising Westwood, can I just ask what it is that you think he's doing badly.

We've only got two players who are looking to get on the ball and pass it forwards.

Come on then Bacuna. Smash this. Bit close for up and over the wall

Regarding Westwood-he rarely goes forward, rarely passes forward, hardly ever takes a good/different variety of freekick/corner. Can't beat a player, has no pace. I don't understand the support of him.

KEA is exactly the same

He's a thought..... When you have a striker who has statistically BY FAR won the most headers in the entire league, why not play with width, i.e. 4-4-2 and feed the bastard.

And how many times do we lose possession from these won headers? Our problem isn't that we don't aim for Benteke's head enough, it's that we aim for it too much.

Only from long balls for him to create knock downs for other players to run onto. We should be constantly aiming for his head INSIDE the box.

This is technically the worst villa side I think I have seen. Football was shit under McLeish but at least we had some players with a bit of ability.

I just look at this side, and too many of the players do not look good enough.

I would agree, but 5 unbeaten isn't a dreadful return before today. There's a tactical problem which seriously needs to be addressed, and that's just tanning it at Benteke's upper three-eighths and hoping for the best.

If we had a 100 million (as if) to spend in the summer I would honestly replace every defender we have and Westwood and KEA.

I would buy 2 wide men of real quality, a number 10 and a holding midfielder

Fulham are crowding Villa out on the edge of their area rather than pressing upfield, thereby nullifying the only way we get points.
Simple, effective tactics.

Here here Paulie. When is the last time that happened? Arsenal, first game? It's the only match I've pretty much enjoyed our football all season.

It's almost like there are two Aston Villas.

One can play really, really well (Arsenal and Chelsea away), and the other is absolutely abysmal.

The problem is, there is next to nothing in between.

Poor half - needs a real turnaround as we had at the Albion - but we can't keep playing 45 minutes badly.

Most of this team just aren't good enough and never will be.  Every game is a major bloody struggle it's depressing watching this lot.
