1-3 to the Villa. John Woodward, Lew Chatterley and Fred Turnbull from a corner for us. A Johnny Haynes controversial penalty for them. Attendance 23,700 and half time entertainment from The Tremeloes.

No Brian Poole?

Am taking my son to his 4th game, the previous 3 were 1-1 vs Fulham last minute equaliser by them, 1-1 vs QPR last minute OG for them vs 10 men, 0-8.
Will our luck change?

Relieved that Spurzz beat them midweek, hopefully 'new manager' syndrome won't work against us.

2-1 to us, with Bent getting an inevitable goal.

Interesting that Gabby got his first goal of the season when he was actually playing up front, rather than on the wing.

"The tea lady works harder than Darren Bent." Quote from somebody who works at Villa.

His goals helped keep us up when we needed them most.

Pity Jol went before we play them - we'd have made it 7 defeats on the bounce but Meulensteen's bound to get them playing better. Having said that there's no Bent, and Berbatov looks like he's had enough there. Gone for a win for us if Vlaar's fit, or a draw if he's out

Fulham 2-5 Aston Villa

Baker O.G. x 2

A hatrick from the Big K and a goal each for the midfield crabs.

Luna's looked ropey so if he's out it may not be the worst thing. A real shame Bennett has disappeared. Both would improve each other's game fighting for that one position.

The Tremeloes are ace.

Can they play left back?
