I think Weimann has been garbage aswell but just think the same as v Southampton would be too negative given Fulham's lowly status and poorer defence.

Albrighton's been out of the premier league so long, tough to chuck him in and expecting a great performance.

Could be Gabby and Benteke through the middle with weimann out wide. Harsh on Kozak though.

I reckon

                    Guzan
Bacuna.  Lowton.  Baker. Clark
                      Sylla
     Westwood. KEA.  Delph
                Gabby. Kozak

Benteket, Steer, Tonev, Albrighton, Weimann, Donacien, Gardner
I bloody hope not. I'd like to see Donacien brought in at centre half, push Baker out to left back, Clark has done enough to show he's matured sufficiently to lead our central defence in the absence of Vlaar.

You're dreaming if you think for one minute Lambert is going to play Sylla in his natual position as a defensive midfielder, as you are if you think he'll go with only two strikers. He's still very much gung-ho so there's no way Benteke won't be playing, especially against a weak defence. If Weimann is fit he'll play, the front three will be his preferred choice. Midfield will be interesting, will he continue with KEA or replace him with Sylla? My guess is he'll go with KEA though I think Sylla is the better option.

Three points tomorrow will be massive, even against a very poor but slightly improving Fulham. We'll probably get outplayed as usual and continue to rely on Plan A of counter attacking. A draw would be the obvious prediction but I'm hoping there's a bit of confidence in the squad and Benteke will take advantage.

Heart says 3-1 Villa, head says 1-1.

What I reckon is as good as what anyone else reckons. What i actually reckon is that we'll all be wrong about the side he picks.

Didn't know where to post this. A nice story. I hope Grealish makes it. He looks a great prospect.

I've collated all the available statistics and managed to work out that when we win today we will go level on points with Man Utd after 15 games. That's the first time we've been in that position since the famous 1940/41 season when the prototype round football was introduced.

Providing we are insisting on continuing with the 10 outfield player format this should do it -

Guzan
Lowton Baker Clark
Bacuna El Ahmedi Westwood Delph Albrighton
Gabby Benteke

I know we're excited about Man U's decline and the game next week but we need to ignore it. Just do the business today please lads. I don't care if we have 10% possession and we win 1-0 with a goal going in off Benteke's cock in the 96th minute, just win please.

4-1 Villa. Weimann to come out of the doldrums and hit 2, Benteke 1 and a 35 yarder from Bacuna.

I saw Jack come on and play about 30 mins of a Next gen game 2 seasons ago and rated him straight away. Gives me the same feel I had about Brian and Gary.
Nik the game is at a reasonable time for you today. Enjoy.

Hmmm.... and all this even before you exchange your well earned money for Ale around Hammersmith!

Is Vlaar definitely injured?  …and Tony Moon?

They are both out today.
