No but I remember us playing at the Dell once against a Southampton team consisting of 10 blokes with the surname Wallace and Matt Le Tissier

SHA must have played that once against us with TSM, it seems he did it enough times with us!

I assume Lowton can play left back given how versatile full backs usually are?

4-6-0 was a bit too gung-ho for TSM

Got draw written all over it, 2 teams that can't score.
So will end up being a 5 goal thriller no doubt!!!!

I think they're short on strikers because Can't Control went off injured for them in the week. It leaves them with just Ravel Morrison who hasn't done anything for the past few games.

Well, that's just guaranteed "Ravel" (as he prefers to call himself on his shirt) gets a hat-trick on Saturday. The only hope now is that it is as part of a 3-6 away win.

I noticed that. A sign of a player who thinks he's better than he is.
Only a matter of time before it's UNRAVEL.
Dickhead!

0-2. Bentenke. Weimann.
Lovely trip home on the coach! :-)

A blow if gabby's out. I think I'd go:

Guzan - bacuna vlaar Clark baker - sylla Westwood Delph - Weimann benteke Tonev

Would like to rest Weimann ideally but can't see us doing that if gabby is out too

Interested in how we get Lowton back in the side. Think that involves bacuna moving into midfield - possibly on the right of a 4411. But west ham pack the midfield with plenty of physical players so I think we need three in there and I think it needs to include sylla. But I don't think sylla can play in the central holding role so think Westwood stays

As I have said numerous times I am sick of us giving teams on a bad run an easy ride. Same with strikers out of form/players making their debut. Crush them into the dirt Villa!!

Do them bigtime Villa and then go down The Wenlock Arms and celebrate and make sure the sham East End scum who have taken root there know I said they are sh*te!! Great pint always in the Wenners if you like real Real Ale. One too many loudmouf 'ammers though for my liking! and don't forget to remind them they nicked our colours!

Ray Stewart penalty, last minute and a totally unjust one at that.  Never forget...

I wouldn't want to see a flat back 4 against these considering they have no standard forward, would see us outnumbered in Midfield.

Mind you, you could spin it like this

"Aston Villa are looking to avoid a fourth straight league game without a goal when they travel to West Ham on Saturday"

This is gonna be horrendous to watch I suspect.

Remember how bad Villa v Reading was last season? Think it was when we beat them 1-0 at home. I think the best description I heard of the match from someone on here was something like "It looked like two worms having a scrap!"
I suspect we'll witness something similar.
