In my view Delph needs to be in that space, with Sylla sitting in the two and Tonev where Andi is now. Andi needs to occupy space just beyond the touchline on those wooden benches.

I like Weimann a lot but he needs leaving out for a few games. I couldn't work out where he was meant to be playing at times yesterday. I'd play Tonev, Gabby and Benteke has a front three with Delph, Sylla and Westwood in the middle.

Front three doesn't work at home for me - Kozak is no good as a target man on his own but may thrive alongside benteke.

It might work with a natural wideman in Tonev but I forgot to add that's what i'd play next week. At home the formation does need looking at.

I'd agree with that clampy for next week, the 4-3-3 does work in away games where teams come onto us more and we can counter attack at pace.

Barry would've been an excellent pick up, surely we could've got man.city to subsidise most of his wages like they did with Adebayor?

I think that's why Everton are doing really well, there's an excellent balance to their central midfield which we simply don't have.

That said McCarthy should've walked. I thought at the time it didn't look a clever challenge but being in the lower holte you can never be certain.

Would've given us a big break as I think it was 0-0 at that stage. We actually are pretty good at playing against 10 men, demolished Sunderland when Sess was sent off, were comfortable against Arsenal when they had a man sent off and also against Chelsea until Benteke walked, we really need to get that sort of break when we play one of these games I think.

We picked up last season when Gabby came back and our front three were firing on all cylinders. At the moment Gabby and Weimann aren't playing well but they still carry more of a goal threat than the alternatives.

I like Weimann too. There were worse culprits in front of goal yesterday. I think he's a grafter who's trying hard to make things happen for us. That run to set up a great chance for Agbonlahor in the second half being an example.

Just seen MOTD the role Barry plays is where Sylla should be played.As they showed having a player in that role helps the defence a great deal.

I did chuckle a bit when Savage was doing that analysis and said "passing and Gareth Barry don't really go together" what a mug he is.

I would've loved Martinez as manager here, amazed so many were turning their noses up at him just because he was fighting relegation every year at Wigan.

I think that was another mac - they had 3 a wigan last season and I think the lad against newcastle was on his debut.

Tonev ain't a natural wideman, his crossing was shocking yesterday. That said nice throughball for Benteke so looks better centrally.

He's on £116k per week. Everton are signing him permanently in jan not sure on wage but he's probably taking a pay cut for a 3 or 4 year deal.
