Good pubs for away fans

My Spurs supporting friend is going to Villa - Tottenham and would like some recommendations for good real ale pubs around Villa Park that let away fans in. I said he'd be pushed near the ground but I think he's looking at town as well (apparently starting at The Wellington near New St). Any ideas?

I am saying fuck all after the Brighton disaster. Note to self, never be helpful to away fans.

Actually, why doesnt he try the Jewellery Quarter and cab it in from there? There are a few to choose from.

Witton Arms is away only. Yew Tree has a mix of home and away. Barton's Arms is pretty decent.

I'm with chelts on this one.
Jewellery Quarter has a good choice of pubs with real ale and only a short walk/quick cab ride away from VP.

He could be outside the ground in 5 minutes by cab if he tackled the Lord Clifden, for example. No bother with being an away fan either and it serves food. Ditto the Red Lion.

I'm racking my brain, I remember the name peppermint place but I can't picture it at all.
