Villa v Albion tickets for next season?

Yeah, as in Albion relegated and Villa failing to get up. These were his very first words right after the final whistle at the Sty.

“at the end of the day, they’ve backed him and he’s gonna get backed so we’re gonna be alright and stay up”

Thick tw*t. What get backed to buy players for league one.

Tell me that's a wind up?  There surely can't be any Boggies out there who seriously think they're staying up.

No, this was a Bluenose. Not quite sure how they have "backed" Monk seeing as the transfer window has closed, and he has been in the job 2 days, but there you go.

Ah, complete misread on my part!

At the end of the day you've misread that

Some Wolves loon rang up last night and tried to compare Dr Tony's tweets with Donald Trumps.

I think I'd find Wolves blowing automatic promotion funnier than Smethwick going down.

Along with promotion for us can we not have both Albion down and Wolves imploding? Is that being greedy? Throw in the beggars of B9 being turfed from the Championship too. What a lovely thought.

Despite Mark Regan clearly explaining the nature of the complaints against Wolves (3rd party ownership of players as opposed to FFP etc.) the majority of callers still didn't seem able to grasp it.  Plenty of "they'm just jeluss" sentiments from Wolverhampton's finest again tonight.

I'd heard this before earlier in the week from non-Midlands fans.

They're supposed to be using third party companies to funnel payments to Mendes who in turn tops up the meagre salaries of players that Wolves contribute towards, with their market value. Which would breach third party ownership rules.

Helder Costa is supposed to be on 80k a week there.

I presume Neves and Jota are on a similar amount.

There's a whole thread dedicated to that sentiment on the Wolves forum linked to on the other thread.  They're absolutely convinced this is all a giant conspiracy against them and that it requires them to adopt some sort of seige mentality!!

Well they've lost 23.5 million in FOSUNs first season. If they stay down they'll fall foul of FFP as there's no way that lost won't have grown significantly.

I wonder if that plonker who rang up after we stuffed Brizzle to say that our full backs weren't as good as Wolves' will be back on any time soon?!

Very droll.  Franksy sounded a bit down tonight - he's having some rough weekends at the moment - another one today where Baggies, Blues and Wolves conceded 11 goals between them and Villa won.  I hope he hasn't got a cat or it'll be in for another kicking.

So so waiting to hear Pat the oh so sanctimonious Wolves fan after his righteous babbling. Let’s mind that gap eh?

Its too good

I don't care what happens as long as we go up to be fair
The Bitters are down in anycase
The dingles to win it and us to lose in the playoffs and get promoted by default as they get done for spending 500% of their income would be funny.
The Rags can stay up - if they get relegated they may win a game or two.
