Well other than our win, tonight's highlight was some Nose calling in to Franksy saying that they should sack Zola and get Francis back. I honestly never thought I'd hear that again. Brilliant.

Yeah I heard that on the way back, absolutely brilliant. They're a desperate club with desperate fans.

It was hilarious fare.  Another bloke said 'Zola, if you're listening to this now please go now.'  Yes because the first thing he did is leg it down the tunnel into the dressing room to crouch round his Roberts Radio listening to the adulation on the local phone in.

And another brilliant insight was given by one who said "I bet Zola is on his way to New Street to catch the train back to London. He always does that never sticks around".
I suppose he got on a helicopter from Brighton to make sure he can use his advance purchase off peak ticket from New Street to Euston.

Coming soon to a Franksey phone in:

"Face it Villa fans, Kodja's going and the club are powerless to stop it. Who from the lower leagues, can replace him?"

"But now to the quiz. Eddie, name any vegetable"
"I aye sure. Is it chips and curry sauce?"

if we paid £15mil for Kodjia and he's deemed a success then surely we'd want £25mil for him, which, let's be honest - no-one is going to pay.

I don't know. You'd never have thought anyone would have paid £20m for Downing. Not sure if that's a relevant comparison mind.

It was a Trevor Francis / Paul Robinson dream team wasn't it?

I'm sure Mr Udagawa and the Lassiters Hotel Complex would have something to say about that.

Wasn't he the same bloke who said that Zola was failing because he was foreign and his English isn't great?  Loved that bit too.

From tonight's opening.

"Wolves say Costa isn't for sale...what if a Premier League club comes in for Kodjia, as they're bound to..."

And off.

Quite simply of a a Prem club comes in for Kodj, and pay the asking price then fair enough. A Championship club will find it difficult to stop a player from playing at a higher level whatever we might like. If Lukaku goes then Everton MAY go for Kodjia but I'd be surprised. They's be more likely to look at Benteke.

Eddie on again. Mentioning villa and wolves again. Have image of some sweaty dirty old man with stains down his stripey shirt whenever that old gimp phones up.

He must have been a wind-up merchant. He sounded like a village idiot and suggested (for baggies) Milner, Cahill and the pièce de résistance - Ricky Lambert.
