Well played Paul from Nuneaton.  Said he had stopped listening to the show for sometime and when asked why by Franks, said it was because the constant negativity about Villa.

My big brother!

Congratulate him from me!

The Wolves fan on earlier who's worried about the financial fair play for future signings. Getting a bit ahead of themselves aren't they?

What a snidey twat Franks is. Talking about the Wolves potentially signing Peter Crouch. "And remember Villa let him go go far too cheaply".  Can't help himself can he?

Is there a sub clause in the FFP rules penalising you for having too many Portuguese nobodies on loan?

Surely it would have applied to Watford when they'd got what seemed like about 20 Italian nobodies.

Mind you the Villa fan on tonight didnt help by saying we have a problem at right back with Cissokho before Franksy pointed out he was the left back. The caller then said Amavi would play anyway which rather undermined the whole point of his call

'Are Smethwick now going to be attracting Benteke?'

According to Franksy

Spinksy was trying to be positive from what i heard earlier, and chastised Franks for being negative.  One or two of the known negative mob were on tonight.

Villa fan called Aaron called in tonight and claimed we needed four new starters to guarantee our place in this league.

It's as if the sunshine brings out the mentals

I didn't want to start a new thread regarding this, as my point is not specific to WM, but the current media coverage of Villa seems to be ridiculous. Last week it was Holloway stating that we will finish 16th. I've just heard a Championship 'expert' on Talksport (Matt Lawrence) suggesting that a top ten finish would be a good season for us. I think if we can win our home games and draw away for the next 6-8 weeks we will gain confidence and do well especially with a few more player acquisitions. So many pundits or so called 'experts' in the local and national media seem to take pleasure in twisting the knife. I really hope that we prove them all wrong - in style!

The thing that I have found surprising is that many of these 'experts' are basing their opinions on how we stand now, without even a suggestion that we might look a very different side come the end of this window nevermind the one in January.
