Franksy then 'put it out there'

'Does anyone else agree with Eddie that Villa Park, Bodymoor Heath, the players, the staff and indeed the club will be closed in the summer?'  'Call us now.'

If that happened, imagine the crowds FC Aston Villa would get in the Midland Football League...

If BMH is sold, do you think someone like Gabby (longest serving) will appear on an updated History dvd to say 'we had a lovely training pitch, beautiful bowling green and five a side pitch and (indignant tone) they sold that for housing....absolutely insane.  We had to go and beg, borrow and steal training pitches from all the local factories.  I were better treated as an amateur like.'

I recognise those words, but can't quite remember whose they were. They were on the BBC History of Aston Villa (or similar) produced in the late 80s.

OK - this nonsense now has full on Internet rumour legs (moving across Facebook with full on outrage in places) and people really believe it's going to happen.

This is what people are finally going to protest about isn't it? Something that was never actually going to happen......and people were worried before that it's embarrassing being a Villa fan? I now realise that the full extent of the implosion of our fanbase is only in its infancy. I am officially scared!

We do seem to have our fair share of one man band Facebook and Twitter nutters who seem to think they speak as one when in fact they just spout endless drivel into the void.

It's no good to Trump, there's already a half decent golf course nearby.

And he won't get planning permission for 50 nuclear warheads!

Franks has read out an email tonight again purporting that the club is going to be asset stripped in the summer.  And asked for views on it.

Franks astonishingly bought up the asset stripping call tonight and asked for other people's views.

They've had the bloke back on tonight, sorry I mean rang him up to get him on.

Yeah, complaining that Remi is negative and hasnt gone for wins. Ignoring the fact that when he arrived we had just lost 7 in a row, had only won 1 league game and had clear divisions in the team. Oh and his first 5 games included Man City and Arsenal at home and Everton and Southampton away.

I have also heard the usual about 'its because we signed a load of inexperienced french players' (again ignoring its the so called good old premier league experienced British players who have been the poorest performers).

And the usual obsessions over Pearson. When did he become the only choice to get us back up? You could say he did an amazing job at the end of last season at Leicester, but he was there for the first part, so wasn't he therefore responsible for them being in that mess? And as for the experience of getting teams promoted, i believe there are as many examples in his managerial career where he hasnt done a great job. And Mcleish got Blues promoted to the premier league and won a cup.

I dont understand the idea that only a British manager will do, and that they are the only ones who are tough, no nonsense and know how to battle.
