I'd like to be associated with the magnificent 7s.

the way we battered lower league opposition towards the end of the pre-season leaves me in no doubt about this game. We'll take it seriously and we'll win comfortably. The post match thread will be mostly comments like job done which ultimately is all that will matter.

Yep, with a two week break coming up, I can't see us making that many changes.  Leave out anyone with a knock or those that are overly tired, but apart from that we should go full strength.

With no game at the weekend I can't see too many changes. Change of formation though...

My team would be,

---------------Steer---------------
Bacuna---Okore---Clark---Bennett
-----Sylla---Westwood---Delph---
--------------Tonev---------------
---------Benteke---Helenius-------

Subs, Vlaar, Guzan, Luna, Gardner, Herd, Gabby, Wiemann

As we don't have a game for 3 weeks after this I would play a strong side and give them some more match time together .

---------------Steer---------------
Lowton---Okore---Vlaar---Luna
-----Sylla---Westwood---Delph---
--------------Weimann---------------
---------Benteke---Gabby-------

Something along these lines, please. A look at Tonev in behind a front two.

A very 'Football Italia with James Richardson' sort of formation. And I like it.

Weimann should play and be given a chance to break his duck for the season. Build up some confidence .

Although I can understand the 'no game for two weeks' argument about not needing too many changes, that also needs to be balanced with the fact that a lot of these have just played 3 tough games and he'll also want to keep those who've not played too much interested.

Steer
Lowton-Donacien-Okore-Luna (unless Bennet is fit)
Sylla-Westwood-Gardner
Tonev-Helenius-Gabby

Baker, Moon and Clark are the only injury doubts.

4-1 to us.
Hopefully there wont be wholesale changes for this game.
Tonev , Benteke (2) and Helenius for us.
