To be fair we still don't know the full story behind it. I really don't think its as clear cut as we think.

Agree.

But it doesn't matter, he aint coming back when we are in the Championship even if we did want him. So we move on.

If we're cheering Gabby's return, we may as well welcome Delph with open arms. Is Peter Sutcliffe match fit?

No, but Fred West could be in with a chance.

Dale Cregan is back in training for Parkhurst Life Vets apparently.

I'd rather be relegated to League 1 than see this sub human scum play for Aston Villa again.

Sub human scum is a bit much, given the sort of context that phrase normally implies. He was an arsehole for what he did, but that's about the extent of it.

Sub human scum is never an appropriate  term for something that in the end is just sport.  History is littered with some of the worst unimaginable atrocities committed by evil people which have caused untold suffering.  Things so bad and sometimes on such a mass scale that they leave us depressed about whether the human race is capable of any goodness or caring for one another at all. Things so bad that you wonder if we will forever remain in a Hobbesian Leviathan state of nature where life will always be nasty, brutish and short. Could we all at least agree here not to use terminology such as sub human scum for anything Villa related unless it is about DOL or Hodge ?

It just makes me laugh how it's turned out for the snake at City with injuries couldn't happen to a nicer person.

You're doing him a disservice there. It wasn't just injuries. It is also his lack of ability in a midfield full of quality players.

If only someone could've predicted it would end this way.

Oh, that's right, we all did!

I think that he went there, knowing that he wouldn't be playing.

That's why he hesitated for so long before signing.

He is picking up his 150k a week whether he plays or not so at least his family are taken care of.

I'd have him back, he'd be a cut above in this league and his style is what we need at the minute.

Imagine getting him and Rhodes, we'd be certain for play-offs.

Just to qualify my previous derogation of Mr.Delph. He's currently too good for us. I think you're dreaming.

True enough. But when he's old and grey will he look back and think of all those good memories of opening his online bank statement? Footballers have very short careers - selling one for a healthy bank account is pretty distasteful to me.

But a short career means maximising their earnings as agent, wife and daddy keep telling them.
