It's the size of the transfer that is a major issue given what we see everyday paid for far less significant players. That and the whole "I love you Villa, this is my club, thanks for sticking by me" stuff that was so proudly delivered. I don't have any issue with ambition but if you agree to a deal and ensure there is a very easy get out clause, then why go to such lengths to deliver the news and celebrate it? That's why it would feel like a bigger kick in nuts than it should.
how many games people think he will play for city depends entirely on how highly individual posters rate himfor me I think he's top class, I've always believed really good players will play better in better teams, ie when Delph stepped up to the England team it didn't take long before he looked at home at international level, not every player can do that as we have seen over the years

I just think, knowing the deal he had signed had this clause in it, the words he uttered in the days after it now look like some of the most duplicitous that you can imagine, if of course the reports are to be true. At least we made a healthy profit on Downing and Barry did a lot more for us than Delph has done. I accept that it better than getting nothing, but don't make the fuss if it is complete bobbins.

If this is true, there will be no well wishes from me, Fabian. All that talk of loving the club and your team being like brothers.....sigh.It's not t a small amount of money, that's a fee for a decent player. Compared to going for free, it's good.
